To all who showed concern for Megan back in 2004 I would like to thamk you for it. Megan does not have Lymes. What she has is called a multi complex connective tissue disorder....she has Lupus, MS, fibro. The reason the docs had so much trouble with a DX is because of the illnesses flaring at the same times. She got pregneat and went into remission, which was a blessing because it helped with the DX. We have enjoyed a couple of very mild symptom yrs with her. At this point her and baby are doing great. She has managed to get her degree with honors and is going on to do her masters and doctorate.

Lyme can be the cause of Lupus, MS and fibro, among other diseases of "unknown origin". Doctors won't diagnosed Lyme though.

The test are horibly inaccurate; there is thus no way to rule out Lyme. Yes' there's a coverup and docs get persecuted if they diagnose it. Read

Even if she's asymptomatic, it might be wise to proceed as if she was a carried, and monitor the baby and the father for strange symptoms.

I wasn't here in 2004 either but I'm very glad to hear that she is doing better.
I agree with six. Lyme is often the cause of fibro, MS and Lupus and other illnesses of unknown cause. There can of course be other causes for those illnesses but I would consider infection to be a likely culprit.
Over the years, I've seen many come here with those diagnosis and get better with appropriate treatment. On the other hand, if given steroids for MS, the results can be very bad if one has lyme instead.
I was diagnosed with fibro and CFS and my condition has improved a great deal with lyme treatment. As six said, lyme is typically not diagnosed.
Lyme is known to go in and out of remission until at some point, one no longer experiences remission. In the many years that I've been infected, I've had several years at a time when I was in remission.
The degree of illness varies between people and depends on many things, including how well the immune system is working. Perhaps her immune system improved while she was pregnant?
In any case, it's great to hear that she is enjoying better health.
