Tease yesterday, has one good day (at least 6 hours) that time felt reasonable, didn't focus on identity stuff and all of the people in my life were in prespective. With the dreams last night, woke up confused and the whole day is surreal. Had a few hours yesterday, what am I doing wrong so I can't keep this? Taking same stuff, saw llmd, maybe herx, Weird, how can one day your take on your life be what it is and the next seem so out of focus. It was a nice 6 hours though. ...LLMD running out of ideas, upped my minocycline by 100 because its a brain barrier breaker. She gave me the option of fllagyl or up minocycline...went up mino. Feel better.

Lyme in Putnam, are you still taking lamictal? If so for how long?

I think its a good thing if you had 6 hours of feeling better. You aren't going to go from feeling awful to perfect over night. This is the way it happens.

It will eventually happen more and more often until you are back to your old self.

I'm sorry to say that I don't have any good advice to give but I just wanted to say that I'm very happy to hear that you are feeling better.

Seems like you are on the right track. It just may take awhile to fully return to normal. You have done a good job of getting through this and searching for answers while in a very tough place.

May the hours when you feel like yourself return fully and very soon!

Terry

lyme in Putnam,

I have been away from the site off and on lately, but I am glad to see you are switching up meds and getting some help. You deserve it.

If Lamictal doesn't help the OCD/repetitive thoughts, there are a lot of meds that will, so keep trying things until something works. I hope you have a doctor that is willing to try different psych drugs until you are back to your old self.

Of course some of the meds can take awhile to work, so give each of them a fair trial before you decide it is or is not working. It sounds like you are on the right track (so I am definitely not saying you need to switch meds).

Also, Minocycline reduces inflammation in the brain. So I am not surprised it seems to be helping you. They have done experiments giving it to people who just had a stroke, and it reduces or stops permanent damage from the stroke because of it's anti-inflammatory effect on the brain.

When I was on Mino, I found my biological clock reset itself. Pretty interesting.

Anyways, I think it will take a combo of antibiotics AND psych drugs. When you are really suffering, the psych drugs are a top priority, in my opinion and experience.

sutherngrl,

Have you gotten up to a higher dose of Lamictal yet? How is it working out? Hope it's helping.

I have been busy lately, but I wanted to drop in and let you guys know that it does get better, by treating all causes (neurochemical imbalances with psych meds and treating infections). I went through some really crazy times and am now doing great psych-wise. ((((hugs))))

Scary thing is I did 360 turn today and now am trying not to focus. It was so worth the peace. How can things change so quickly and now so depressed and not me again. Hope docs can figure out soon. Upped mino to 300 mg per day of mino today. LLMD said possible herx.. How long if yesterday was this almost normal can it change? Thanks for the ear and I'm sorry for the constant help me stuff, I've just been stuck. Hope you all feel better soon. having difficulty giving psych meds because of low salt, Don't know which meds are cause psych stuff cause low salt causes psych stuff too. ????My
