When my wife started to take a Magnesium supplement, she had something like a Herx reaction. This did subside after a few months.

Not sure why, but at the time, I thought it may cause Lyme to convert to Spirochete form. Just a guess.

Most "vitamins" in supplements are not real.

They are made from cheap who knows what, NOT from real non-GMO food.

So sure, you can herx from what I call isolated chemicals. Your body is clueless about what to do with them.

I assume that most people are smart enough to buy top quality vitamins that are bio-available, so to speak. There are many very good brands with high standards.

B vitamins can bring on intense stomach pain if taken on an empty stomach. The B's need food.

Zinc, too.

Bee pollen on a empty stomach is like grenade. Best with food and to start with a tiny amount.

Niacin makes me feel weird. I have to check for it in all my multi's and B Complex vitamins. Niacinamide is fine for me.

I'm having a hard time with B-complex. It causes an increase in my neuro. symptoms, esp. twitching. But I keep reading I need it for normal neuro. functioning.

I herxed with magnesium and vitamin C and cannot tolerate zinc. But I could drink B vitamins in bottles without problems.

I know I get ignored when I suggest reading actual books like "The Real Truth About Vitamins and Antioxidants" by Judith DeCava.

My opinions do not come from net cruising and my personal experiences. They come from working with hundreds and hundreds of patientsfor over 15 years. Patients with many types of health challenges.

IMO there are very few well made supplements out there.
