Is this really a 6 month protocol? How would you know if you needed it longer? What point would you stick to?
I have probably had Lyme for years but my severe symptoms started in Feb.

It's modified after being on the protocol for six months. You still take the herbs you need.
Honestly, the detox stuff worked well for me but Buhner's herbs worked better for me. Neither helped with the coinfections though.

My kids are not on the exact Cowden protocol, but are taking Samento, Cumanda and Enula, plus burbur for detox. This seems to be hitting all of their infections, as far as I can tell. They are making good progress. I plan to keep them on it at least 6 to 12 months. Those herbs test very well on the electrodermal dermal testing for hitting the infections.
There are other things they are taking as well which help too.
