Hi everyone,

I haven't posted for quite a while.

Question: Another Lyme patient developed a huge lump on their hip from many bicillin injections in the same area. Most likely it is internal scar tissue, and even perhaps some bicillin which did not disseminate.

Can anything be done to reduce or eliminate the protrusion? (I think resistance excercises for legs, glutes, and hamstrings may help prevent the large bumps from developing in the first place).

But can anything be done now, even surgically (though this would be a lease prefered route)?

Thanks and keep hoping and putting one foot in front of the other. We'll get there eventually.

I would apply warm compresses and massage the lumpy areas twice daily. These two things will help increase blood flow to the tissues. With time, the body should absorb the old medication lumps and scar tissue.

Systemic enzymes will dissolve the scar tissue. Nattokinase, lumbrokinase. I have taken both of these products. I had large bumps on each hip area and both are completely gone now.

Thank you all for responding.

Listenswithcare, I have a follow-up question. This might seem obvious, but since I have done intramuscular cephtriaxone, and bicillin-LA (different treatment cycles), are you talking about taking the enzymes orally?

What amounts do you take? What form are the enzymes, pills? tincture? And where can they be purchased, a GNC? herb shop?

OK, last question. What brands do you recommend?

Thank you again.

We have used the heating pad with a castor oil pack on the lumps and bruises which helps.

Also the LLMD says to take extra vitamin c which we have'nt tried yet since the other method works for her.

My LLMD told me that some patients get ultrasound done to the area, for the lumps. I got the impression that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but I am not sure.

I have some lumps too. They seem to be getting a little better with time, after being off Bicillin about 3 weeks. I won't rule out the ultrasound though if they don't improve over time.

sometimes a sterile abcess can occur and the Bicillin needs draining. she should see her LLMD

I've taken MANY shots and in my case it was not getting deep enough. If you don't get right into the muscle, the medication doesn't absorb for a long period of time, but it will work it's way in eventually.

That is why I don't agree with the stab and push hard method of giving injections. You'll come to recognize if it is harder to push than normal and maybe you have to pull it out and move over slightly of change your angle. It's a drag poking yourself twice but at least you get in the right spot and get your meds in you.

For the enzymes, they are pills. I have taken Allergy Research Group Nattokinase (got it from Vitacost), and have also taken the same brand of Lumbrokinase. I took the natto 3 times a day (1 pill) on an empty stomach. I started with one a day for 1 week, then ramped it up, just to make sure I'm okay with the stuff.

Lumbrokinase is better than natto, so I switched. Then, my LLMD recommended boluoke lumbrokinase, and so I switched to that. This stuff is more expensive, so I take it 2 times per day (again on empty stomach). I get mine online from Natural Healthy Concepts as that is the best price I could find.

The enzymes I am taking are for biofilm busting. The natto was recommended by another doctor of mine. I got results with the scars while on the Natto. I continue to get results (I am still on shots, and I am not getting more scarring). I have been on enzymes for about 1 year now. It probably took about 6 months to really notice results with the scarring.

Give it a try. Be careful, cause it busts biofilms and you could herx.
