Go back and do a search.

AliG produced tons of documentation of mosquitoes and Lyme disease.

Hugs,

It may be possible, but it has to be rare.

We have so many mosquitoes around here that if very many carried Lyme, we all would be infected.

Who says you aren't all infected? Not saying everyone is, but it's quite possible that most people are, but for various reasons some succumb and others don't. That's some people's theories anyway.

The idea that only ticks can carry these diseases makes as much sense as ticks obeying state lines, so they only stay in certain states. NOT!

I know that a year or two ago, I got a ton of mosquito bites on my shins one night, and got a really hot, itchy, raised red rash on both lower legs for a while.

A year later when I was on tx with doxy, I got the exact same hot, red, ichy, raised rash in exactly the same places. That doesn't prove anything, but it seems rather suspicious to me. Don't know if it was from Ehrlichia or what (that's my guess).

Rumigirl-I completely agree. I believe it when people say many more people are infected with it but aren't sick.

I think my "spider" bite in 2004 was a tick bite. I had very mild symptoms spaced out and they would come and go until Dec of 2009 when I hit the avalanche and that was the end of that.

I didn't start getting sick until we did a unit (we paint military housing) that had fleas. I got about 20 bites on me and then it was just down hill after that.

But for almost 6 years I lived a normal life with some back pain, high blood pressure, headaches, and low grades fevers-never at the same time.

I think, for instance, that my husband has it. I think that *could* be where his anger outbursts come from. He was in the Army and spent many of days and nights in the woods with these bugs, he would pick them off by the dozens when he would get out of the field. His immune system is built like a horse. He rarely gets sick-but when he does it's bad.

He is like I was-random symptoms spaced out. His anger outbursts are about a month apart, where he just gets angrier for 2-3 days at a time. I hope he never has an avalanche.

I also think his kids (my step-kids) have it. They both show random and spaced out symptoms-"growing" pains their ped told them, ha!

If I could afford to have my whole family tested I would.

Anyway the point is, I do also believe that many people who don't exhibit symptoms have Lyme, their bodies are just able to fight it off.

I've heard many Lyme Patients say they got sick, with a cold or flu, and never got better. I'm right there with them. Got a cold in Dec 2009 and haven't been better a day in my life sense.

I think fleas, mosquitos, flies, anything that can carry bacteria and bites carries Lyme.

I think the trick is proving it can be transmitted.

I wonder if I caught fleas in a jar with rubbing alcohol and sent it to the guy out here who tests ticks if he would test the fleas. I'd be curious to know.

I plan on catching the next tick I see-instead of my reaction last time where I just stomped on it and squished and turned my foot back and forth-jumped with my whole body weight on that sucker-I think I killed him [Smile]

Hi, Rummigirl,Littlebit 27,
There would be no reason just like the Zoot fly has mosquito`s carry it to distribute their larvae.
Those critters arn`t dumb.!!!!
Yes,I believe anyone bit by anything since we can track back before 1900`s is carrier.
Like cancer, staff, strep, just needs to be activated. 100 diff., types cancer good chance that many strains here since Drs. feel may more than we know. Like way more neurotransmitter than we know, Dr's. back up.
So, yes very poss. beyond tick borne after so many yrs, people being bit. Just don`t know till activated.
Why men less??, test show this is 1 thing can`t fight testosterone. Test given on woman all felt better. Yes, need lot, beard, deeper voice +++.
If you want ask for testosterone. Yet, long term we do not know.
I still am surprised till heard on Dr. Oz about flies, many web sites, on the flies,Look up.

Thanks for some of the support on this I agree with some You.
Huggggssss,TO ALL IN NEED,Kerry
