I have had it for about 4 months now, they were very painful but I can now keep them at bay swishing slat water in my mouth about 15-20 times a day...

I am pretty sure it is from oral thrush "a mild case" but not to sure.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Kuda

If it's oral thrush, you can get some liquid antifungal from your doctor and that should get rid of them.

I get sores that often respond to powdered acidophilus. If you don't have the powdered, open a capsule and let it disolve in your mouth. I try to have the powder disolve near or on the sores. That sometimes reduces the pain within an hour.

Following is some info based on my research: Canker sores usually only last about 3 weeks. If they are canker sores, they could be caused by a nutritional defeciency such as certain B vitamins, calcium, folic acid, iron or vitamin C.

They could be related to allergies or sensitivities. One study found that some people who gave up gluten got relief from recurring canker sores. These people tested negative for a wheat allergy but they were still sensitive to gluten.

I sometimes feel that mine are caused by viral flares but since they usually clear up with powdered acidophilus, it is probably unbalanced mouth flora or a fungal infection FOR ME.

4 months is a long time to have sores in your mouth. If you don't get it solved soon, please consider going to an ear, nose, throat doctor to get an evaluation and advice.

Hope you get over them,
Terry
