If I remember correctly, Dr. B says 1-6 months. But of course could be more depending on the person

I took Levaquin for 3 months, then followed it up with Rifampin to be sure it was gone.

Runningshoe -- by your name, I am guessing you are a runner? So you might want to ask your doc about the risks of Levaquin causing tendonitis.
I was a runner prior to lyme & co-infections. My LLND gave me the option of Levaquin, but told me about the possible side-effects of tendonitis. I opted not to go with it b/c I want to get back to running soon.

I did 3 months of IV levaquin and rifampin. Can't confirm it's gone, have never tested positive for it. But, some symptoms left and have not come back.

I was on IV Levaquin. Maybe for one or two months??
It was by FAR my favorite!!! it did give me some nasty pain in my joints from the hips down, BUT it was the drug I noticed a HUGE difference with.
Everyone is different, as is our bacterial loads... Since I had the PICC, I did a liter bag of lactated ringers on the days i didnt do abx. They helped TREMENDOUSLY!!! I didnt realize how toxic I was after killing so many bugs.
If your taking it orally, maybe up your water intake a lot.
But yes, i agree 100%, you need to watch for the tendonitis, etc..
Good luck

If you can tolerate it, it works great. One of my favs as well even though it really tests my tendons.
Load up on the Mag...

Yes I used to run - can't now due to POTS and IC. I just don't know why I am more tired on the antibiotics than I was just living with the illness. Any ideas? So far very sore all over but no major problem with tendons. I do yoga and walk. I am very careful though....

Hi Running shoe- I would say that you might be more
tired on abx due to the fact you are killing off
spiros etc. In essence a herx at least that is my
understanding. I think some abxs too like
for me micobutin can make you tired. Hope this helps-
