Ever since starting a methylation protocol, I've been excreting dark yellow, stinky urine. It used to always be clear like water. I spoke to experts about this, and if I remember right it can be a sign of heavy metal toxicity/excretion or viral die-off.

I have felt a little embarrassed to ask for a heavy metal panel (I mean how many things could be wrong with me, right?), so I ordered an at-home test kit manufactured by Nissen Medica.

I called them and told them I take colloidal silver (nano silver hydrosol), and the guy seemed knowledgeable about colloidal silver and explained to me why it wouldn't mess up the results of the test kit.

Anyway, it was off the charts positive for heavy metals (an at-home kit isn't advanced enough to tell you what metals are elevated), and in my opinion, I think this test justifies running a real heavy metal panel, even if those results were wrong.

I was thinking LabCorp would be best since I already hit my deductible.

Also, how come the heavy metal profiles vary so much between certain labs? I honestly don't know what lab to trust.

I have pictures of my test on my blog:

I would get a provoked urine test. A blood test isn't always the best way to go for a chronic heavy metal problem ... better for an acute issue.

provoked as in a chelating agent?

Don't think I need that. I suspect methylation vitamins are adequate.

I'm dumping toxins like mad. It's just a matter of identifying what they are.
