Spent the whole afternoon and early evening in the ER.

I had to stop meds due to a yeast infection. Since stopping the meds Thurs, got really sick fast.

Headaches, fever you name it.

So doctor said to go to the ER.

I went and he ran a bunch of tests. Everything was fine except for electrolytes. He said I was severly dehydrated. So they had me on mega doses of saline.

My SED rate was a little high due to on going inflamation. Imagine that... [confused]

Hope you are feeling better.

Some people treat lyme and yeast at the same time. Did your LLMD tell you to stop abx?

Hope you feel better soon. My daughter ended up in the ER a few months back, and she was dehydrated.

Hi, thanks for all the kind words. Been drinking tons of gatorade and water. Feel tired but not all that bad.

Just took some tylenol as fever is starting to go up. YIKES!!

You guys are the best. [Smile]

When I feel the worse,,,everyone here is awesome, supportive. Wish we could all meet and put faces to names. [Smile]

Dear janice,
I am sorry to hear you have had such a rough time! Sitting in the ER is no fun. Take it easy! Gatorade does help. My electrolytes tend to be off here and there. I also have a massive load of yeast due to being on many antibiotics. It really takes a toll on your body. Keep us posted and try to bring that fever down!

Sincerely,
Jin

Thanks all.

Jin, what did you use for the yeast issue?

Keebler turned me on to Olive leaf extract.

Trying that today. [Smile]

Coconut oil may help too. But just a pinch to start. I have used in on privates too. Stops it quick.

Janice,

Be sure to stay cool and while it's important to drink enough water - I hope you can get minerals & electrolytes from foods. I'm concerned that Gatorade has either sugars or artificial sweeteners - and dyes.

Too much water can be bad, too, without all the minerals and electrolytes being replaced all along the way. Food really is the best source - and something like organic Pomegranate Juice with stevia for the sweetener (it is tart all by itself).

A little lemon water with a dash of SEA salt is helpful every few hours, too. Tart plums are a good source of trace minerals, too. The tart plums are low sugar and actually help us to fight parasites, according to my ND.

I don't know about the Gatoraid..... lots of suger, art. colors and flavors, etc. Try Coconut water (it's the only ingredient on the can, no extra junk added.) I think whenever possible, go with the most natural/organic choice. Feel better!!

Be sure to turn off volume before going to this site, there are startling blurps and fast visual cuts:

www.emergenc.com

Emergen-C

They also make Electro Mix. A less annoying site to study this is at:

http://www.vitacost.com/Alacer-Electro-Mix-trade

Alacer Electro Mix Natural Lemon-Lime Flavor -- 30 Packets

Sugar Free
Calorie Free
Sodium Free
Makes Water into Sports Water...Instantly!

contains nutritionally balanced essential electrolytes: Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese, plus Chromium.

Electro Mix is good since it has low sugar!! ( or is it NO sugar?? )

Ha. "Dehydration".
That's all they could "find" with me one time. [Big Grin]
Hooked me up to a bag of saline.

Had to take a l-o-n-g pee on the way out. [Razz]

Over $1,000 billed. [shake] (No insurance)
Most $$$ pee i've ever Taken.

I worked out a discount, though. [Roll Eyes]

Keebler I forgot about that.....It is great stuff! And you can get it in single packets or tubs.

I've taken EmerGen-C but I have not taken Electro Mix - just found it today and am glad to see this. I'd been looking for something like this for years.

As it is sodium-free, a little sea salt is still good to consume a couple times a day, especially first thing in the morning.

I would reconsider the gatorade and go with Smartwater. It's "gatorade" without the sugar. Sugar=Yeast.

All the talk about Gatorade is making me crave it . It used to be my oxygen.
