Is nausea and stomach burning part of babesia herx? I had abdominal ultrasound and nothing was found. The symptoms went away for a week but are now back again. Back is also starting to hurt, which made me suspect herx.

On the left side of abdomen, right below ribcage, I can feel something that makes a little noise when I press on it. It is tender. Ultrasound covered liver, kidneys, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Jennie,
good morning. I don't remember having a burning stomach during my herx from mepron. I had nausea, headache, fever etc.

The back pain could be a herx symptom everyone is different.

Did you call Dr. J about it? Janice

I definitely am in herx mode. So, I guess the stomach is part of it. Went through upper EGD a couple of weeks ago and nothing was found. Things cleared up for a week or so and now flared again.

I did not call Dr. J. Last time I had a problem, he said he could not diagnose me from another state. So, I will try not to call again.

Thats your spleen....the red blood cells are processed differently there and it causes problems when the Babs die off happens.

I can't say for sure either, but I've always had random pains that make me wonder through this process.

I'm inclined to follow trout's opinion, and suggest you make sure you're detoxing well.

At least drinking a lot of water, hydrating, and taking supplements. All very important.

I'm sure you're already doing all this [Smile]

Do I need to have my spleen checked or will all resolve when babs gets under control?

Can spleen problems cause nausea and burning?
