My name is Nikki I'm a 23 yr old stay at home mom and I live in southeastern MI. A couple weeks ago I noticed a rash on my legs. The most common time it occurs is after I get out of the shower. It starts out as little bumps that kind of look like mosquito bites but then turn into a bullseye rash. I get several all over my legs a few might come out on my arms and a lot also come out on my butt. After a few hours they fade away to nothing and might appear again in the middle of the day but if not they're there again after my shower the next morning. I went to the doctors yesterday and did not see my regular doctor but one that I really don't care for. He thinks it's an allergic reaction to something and gave me steriods. I am not comfortable taking these until I see my regular doc. I began doing research on the internet about bullseye rashes and came across a lot of lyme disease websites and it's really worrying me that this may be the cause. I have never seen a tick on me but as I've read that really doesn't mean much. My questions are does bullseye rash always mean lyme disease? and does lyme disease rash go all over your body like that or does it usually happen where you got bit? If someone can please help me out with this I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Nikki,

When I got bit in 1988 I got the rash in different places on my body. They would come and go. Small mosquito looking bites, then turn to huge welts. Hips, back behind the knees, wrists,
you name they were there.

Please get an LLMD and no steriods.
Post in seeking a dr. someone can help guide you to a llmd.

Bullseye rashes are diagnostic of Lyme Disease. Take pictures of your rashes next time you have them. You'll want to have that record. Don't take steroids as long as you're suspecting Lyme Disease.

Are they bullseyes or just splotchy? It sounds so much like hives, but not if they're bullseyes.

I would not take the steroids until seeing a Lyme specialist... or maybe your own dr .. if you think he knows anything about Lyme. Most drs know VERY LITTLE about Lyme.

Go here to find a dr in your area:

SEEKING A DOCTOR

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/forum/2?

Call now as it takes weeks to months before you can get an appointment.

Consider a walk-in clinic too!!! TAke pictures of anything that looks like a bullseye!!

There should be pics of Lyme rashes here:

YOU NEED TO GET OFF THE STEROIDS NOW! THEY WILL ENSURE THAT THIS BECOMES A YEARS-TO LIFELONG PROBLEM.

he rash means that 100% you have Lyme.

Please post in seeking a doctor and find one known to us to be Lyme-literate, as there is a coverup in medicine about this and most doctors thus have no idea how to treat it.

Check out underourskin.com
lymecryme.com
undertheightball.com

You need to do WHATEVER IT TAKES in order enable yourself to take 400mg doxycycline/day for 3 months past the point at which all symptoms resolve. The alternative is an possibly-lifelong, contagious brain infection. multiple drugs--a cell-wall inhibitor, an intracellular drug, and an anti-spore agent will probably be needed.
If you've had a rash following a tickbite or any sort of positive test--that is definitive proof. Don't believe a negative, as the tests that we've been all)owed to have are only 30-50% sensitive (as described on lymecryme, good tests get withheld from us.) www.lymeinfo.net/medical/LDSeronegativity.pdf

in addition, i might treat with these herbs, or at least banderol.
(another researcher martin sievers, concluded that samento made things worse).

qlso check into andrographis and cowden protocol, just other ideas for things to treat with in addition to/if you can't get antibiotics.

Good luck!

Thank you everyone who has responded. I went to a different doctor yesterday since my doctor is on vacation all this week and they are still telling me it is not lyme disease. I really wish I could figure out how to put pics up on here since I took some good ones of the rash this morning. Is it even possible to do that and if so can someone please tell me how? Thanks!

Mine are very small circles compared to all those though and sometimes there's just a cluster of small rings and the middle is white. I'd say about 30 per leg when they come out.
