I am in my eighth week of HBOT (2.6 ATM) and am starting to experience the unusual amount of sweating I got with Babesia. Does anyone know if HBOT can make Babs re-emerge? [bonk]

I've been dealing with a flare in Babesia and Bartonella symptoms since finishing HBOT. My doctors have told me that the HBOT does not directly affect Babesia or Bartonella, only Lyme. So it might be that the Lyme load has been reduced and now your (my) body is primarily fighting off the coinfections.

I was told that you should Not do HBOT unless you have treated for babesia first as it thrives in a heavy oxygen environment unlike the other pathogens.

I've heard that it can promote Babesia and that HBOT is not a good idea without co-infection treatment underway.

Thanks y'all. I actually did get treated for Babs from Dr. J. I guess it's gone now so it was probably just the heat in my state- hopefully but I'll let Dr. J know when I see him next. The far infrared sauna after hyperbaric probably didn't help that much then [Frown]
