I thought Brain Fog was mainly lyme / bart.

i thought it too, but i made the expirience, that it isnt always like that! after aggressive treatment 15 months agains borrelia and bartonella the brainfog should go away! but it only gone away 50%. when u take a look at the symptom list u can see, that encephalopathy is also listed at babesia symptoms.. babesia is similar to malaria... and malaria can cause bad brain stuff too.. so i would say that babesia can do the same stuff

zith and minocycline will help with the fog and a lot of the neuro stuff

sorry it worked wonders for me !!

we are all different, what works wonder for one may not for someone else.

there are so many different straisn to this disease and seems it also depends on what area of the country you got bit in .

And what country your currently in !

I feel like it is harder for me to think now that Babesia is flaring for me. My brain feels slower than normal even though I've been dealing with memory problems for a long time.

Hoping with you that this goes away with treatment.

I recently switched my Babs protocol and now I tell people I think my brain is missing! I am having a horrible time with memory, and even knowing if I dreamed something, or it actually happened.

I misread things and have made all kinds of mistakes. My auditory processing has gone out the window. I wrote down a phone number from a voice mail and luckily I had another message because I switched two of the numbers.

Today I couldn't even remember what my address is. This has been much more pronounced since I switched protocols last month.

I treated Babs for a year, with good results, but after a few months off the protocol I had a relapse. I have now been treating it again for about 2 years, and am not really getting to it.

The first year of the last two I did well, but my LLMD had to switch me from zith for a couple of reasons and it has not been as good since then.

How many months have you been treating the babs?

Also, my son's doctor is using Lariam for Babesia. Some strains seem to respond to Lariam.

Hi Daniel
I think it is a gradual improvement over many years for chronic Babs, I still get brief spells of brain fog now but antibiotics or taking ginseng now lift it.

A naturopoath also said I had a chronic virus yrs ago for which I took a garlic/cinammon supplement and that helped my brain fog for a while. (Zhang's Allicin in the 6 a day regimen can help too. )

It came back with the Babesia flare and Riamet then helped.

I guess it depends on the cause, if it is due to toxins, virus, Babesia etc.

lymednva;

Reading your post is like reading my life. I do exactly the same things.

Transposing numbers and letters ALL the time. Did I dream that or did it really happen??

Just last week I swore I got a telephone call about something and actually had to go through my cell phone to see if there was a "received" call from this person. (It was a dream)

This is a horrible disease!!!
