My practitioner put me on this. It's like Cortef but natural. How much do you take?

Start with very tiny amounts and wait several days before increasing - until you feel stable on that. Check the instructions from your practitioner (call if you need to) as you do not want to go over the amount prescribed.

Too much of this can cause the jitters. That's why starting with 1/4 or 1/2 of a tablet is best. See how you do with it.

If memory serves me, I think I recall that taking it with some food helped my stomach manage it better.

I tried many different times over the years but I could never tolerate any of SP adrenal products (or any glandulars) but many other people do well with them. I hope this works for you.

I finally just found the plant adrenal formula that works very nicely for me: Adaptocrine by Apex (but at the top dose, it's $75. a month).

Rianna, I can't answer any of your PMs because you won't clear your mailbox! [Smile]

Too bad, seek. How long did you give it? Maybe Cortef would be better for you.

It has bovine adrenal extract in it, kinda like the concept of Armour along with B vits and a bunch of other stuff. I've been taking it in the AM. So far so good.

I think for some of us we have to resort to Cortef, after last years IV I have no adrenal function to speak of now so have to take Cortef through the day with Florinef am......Hopefully one day my adrenals will recover.

They were better and I was able to low dose but again the intense IV have completely shot - LLMD has to dose me now like an addisons patient and am still working on getting the dose right

Interesting I read an article yesterday where it said if the adrenal/thyroid is not sorted you just cant recover from lyme - so many get freaked out by cortisol replacement but if you have none you replace it and without it you will have no immune response.......Essential for life

Good luck with the Drenamin

I don't think Cortef is a bad thing. My doc said it's "putting the adrenals on a beach with a Corona"! ie giving them a much needed break.

I am trying to sort my adrenals and next move to thyroid.

I used to take cortef but eased off of it after five months of use. Apparently, that's what I needed because my adrenal function has improved. But it still isn't great. Now I take Drenamin and I am stable with adequate blood pressure.

How much Drenamin?

My naturopath put me on Dr. Wilson's Adrenal Rebuilder. I take it 30 minutes before breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime. This stuff has made a HUGE difference for me. I was having panic attacks/anxiety in my sleep and waking up in the middle of the night. I was so anxious/claustrophobic when getting a massage I had to take Xanax. This has by far been one of the best products I take - think it runs about $30.00 for 90 caplets.

I am supposed to take one Drenamin at each meal, but I only take one at breakfast and one at dinner. That seems to be enough.

Drenamin helped me years ago when my cortisol was low. Its worth a try but go slow.
