Its been a month that I'm doing very good on malarone and azithro. But still have some symptoms like scratching, needles and pins more on my foot and shins. My LLMD thinks I may have both Co infections but likes one antibiotic at a time except malarone and azithromycin.I,m thinking this is hitting something but like to ad something for Bartonella and lyme.Like to know what will work best with malarone and azithromycin ore what therapy worked for you to get rid of lyme and co infections so I can talk to my LLMD.
Thank you for any advice.

It is so complicated it is hard to treat everything at once unless you really know what you are doing but maybe someone that is already doing it using the two drugs you listed can tell you what else they are doing.

You can combine rifampin or bactrim ds with zithro for bart but I don't know about malarone - check drugs.com for interactions.

For lyme you need a cyst buster like flagyl, tindamax or plaquenil but I don't know how any of these would mix with malarone. You need something for the blood like amoxy or doxy.

There are so many drugs, some of the work better together than others, so it takes an expert to figure out which combinations are best.

For a better understanding of the drugs used to treat Lyme and coinfections you may want to read this info from Dr B

http://www.lymediseaseresource.com/BurrGuide2008.pdf

Biaxin (clarithromycin) could be substitued for zith and may be more effective against Lyme.
