Herpes II seems to be really kicked up. Repetitive flares.

Anyone have this happen during abx treatment or just having TBI (lyme and Bart)?

what to do?

I am taking 2000 mg of lysine a day and it isn't touching it.

Far less lysine used to stop in tracks.

Anyone?

I use tea tree oil topically usually very effectively.
But now not so...

Before lyme I almost never got outbreaks...lysine or not... in a 35 year history.

but it is still worse in last 6 months of late stage lyme before abx

now seemingly more so with second bite and abx.

If I can learn something to stop it-- one more painful/annoying symptom not to deal with.

It is even sometimes a bit fluey which has not happened since first infection.

Sounds like that second bite knocked your immune system.

Do you know about avoiding foods that are high in arginine? Corn, chocolate, and peanuts are the worst, but also any nuts and grains for now. And eat foods high in lysine: animal proteins, potatoes, dairy (if you do ok with dairy), Brewer's yeast.

You can take 1,000 mg of lysine 3-4 times a day on an empty stomach during an outbreak. If it's that bad, you might need an antiviral, like Valtrex, or some herbal antiviral.

Getting bitten again is quite a knock; I know, it happened to me again last year. I hope you feel better soon! Oh, and lots of probitotics, too. What a siege?!

Pure Virgin Coconut oil-not additives--

1/4tsp. to start and ramp up as tolerated.

Has been shown to clear up outbreaks on skin in just a couple of days. Stops the itchy too.

You can rub coconut oil on for the itching, too.

thanks to all!

I did not realize lysine was empty stomach too.

Hard juggling with this and not with that and empty stomach for that.

Will def explore the possibilities.
It has subsided at the moment after several consecutive outbreaks but I need these in my arsenal.

I don't know about Herpes II, i only had Herpes simplex lip sores----- which were totally, permanently wiped out by LOMATIUM, an anti-viral herb.

LOMATIUM dissectum, i think. It's in the parsley family and grows in dry Western plains. It tastes like parsley.

It has an interesting history. You can read about it and buy it on the internet. I bought 3 different brands, they all worked.

Historically, it saved the Washoe Indian tribe from the 1918 pandemic flu. I keep some on my shelf in case of flu or virus.

----Polly Polygonum
----or Nilufar Knotweed
