How will I know when to stop? I mean, what if I feel almost 100%, but my only issue is joint pain in my fingers? Could that be permanant damage? How will I know? My symptoms had already let up quite a bit before I started treatment and I have felt worse on the meds than I did before I started. So at this point I'm thinking I can live with a little joint pain, but does that mean the bacteria is still lingering? Thanks for any help...

Since you haven't been treating very long, I would personally continue with treatment for another month or so IF IT WERE ME.

Then I would go on a VERY strict anti-yeast diet to see if the joint pain would go away. (start now, actually)

I have found that when I get yeast, my joints in my fingers will be painful. Once I get it under control, the pain disappears.

So make sure you are clear of yeast and see if your symptoms go away completely.

Congratulations!!!!! [Cool]

My lyme doc told me when treatment was complete.

I had been totally symptom-free for months.

Thanks Lymetoo! It makes since that it could be yeast making my finger joints hurt. Does yeast cause your head to itch too? My head has been itching like crazy, I didn't know if it was a side effect of the flagyl or what, it just started this weekend!

I do plan on continueing with treatment for at least another month. Although I just got my "safety labs" back and my liver enzymes are already elevated. I will have it repeated at the end of this week and then we will see where to go from there. I've been hitting the meds pretty hard, feeling crappy because of it, but my goal has been to get rid of these little bugers as fast as possiable, so I would really hate to have to down step and take less meds but take them longer, but I dont' want to mess with my liver either...

I'm feeling blessed to have found this place! Thanks for all you do Lymetoo and all you others as well! You are angels!

YES INDEED! It is one of my biggest symptoms when I have yeast.
