Clove oil or 'thieves oil' blend (clove & cinnamon - www.youngliving.com) - rub it on your chest and the bottoms of your feet every few hours. The clove is antibactieral and anti-viral and will draw out the bad stuff through your skin.

I had my sister do this last week when she was on her way to bronchitis. And was better by bedtime.

Olive leaf extract always works for me.

Also, hydration - drink lots of filtered water.

I like to make a broth with tons of fresh garlic along with onions, ginger, carrots, celery, and spicy peppers. This hot soup has helped me fend off what was looking like a bad cold.

If I end up with a cold despite all the various measures, ginger tea is great for the throat - chopped fresh ginger and lemon juice in hot water (& honey if you're not having yeast issues).

Great suggestions above. I'll add:

Lomatium tincture (LDM-100) - & Elderberry Extract.

I eat jalapeno peppers in vinegar from the grocery store.

In the worst swine flu season I took it before I went somewhere and immediately if someone was sick. Had it always with me in a tiny plastic box. Works 100 per cent.Keep it in your mouth for quite a few minutes, the longer the better.

Cheapest remedy out there:

1 large clove of garlic, crushed, and eaten raw over a small salad of any type.

Whenever I feel the slightest scratchy throat, I use this remedy and the problem is gone by the next day.

(Kinda smelly, though)

I'll add...

Steaming for 7 minutes with 1 tbsp of sea salt, one chamomile tea bag.

Put salt and tea bag in water and bring to a boil. Put towel over head and inhale as hot as you can stand for 7-10 minutes.

Kills the germs in nose and sinus and will shorten anything that is coming on.

Works for me.

I always take Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE).

Though you need to make sure it doesn't conflict with other meds.

I've also read that at certain dosages it causes herxing for some people.

That and eating raw garlic have frequently worked for me. And the neti pot.

SyImmune and SyInfect from Syntrion. They're homeopathic remedies that you stick under your tongue.

Yin Chiao by Planetary Herbals. It's an herbal blend from Chinese medicine. I can feel it tamping down my cold symptoms.

One thing about elderberry or other things to stimulate the immune system, if you have an over-reactive immune response, they have the opposite effect.

My immune system goes crazy, so I have to take things to calm it down .... like turmeric and vitamin D.

An old cold remedy, pour hydrogen peroxide in your ear and let it sit until it stops fizzing. Google it, it's interesting.

I have also read of other's swearing by a remedy of putting drops of peroxide in your ears at the first sign of cold symptoms.

Ozone treatments can be done in the ears, I've often wondered if the H2O2 treatment is similar???

Well, I hit the netti pot, the Airborne, green tea with honey and lemon. No dice. I may hit the hydrogen peroxide trick. It's worth a shot. I di start my Andrographis yesterday again. Probably too late but hopefully will help with flu season.
