i'm baaackkkkk.....LOL

one more question. really, just one...honest...

my friend says if you have yeast or thrush that when you put your toothbrush in listerine that it will foam up and turn the literine really cloudy.

she said hers turned it murky and had stuff floating in it.

hmmm, i tried that. my toothbrush didn't do anything. the listerine stayed nice and clear.

what's up???

or maybe do i just have a case of paranoia and have what she calls "really bad morning mouth"?

ya think?

Don't know about that; but I'm pretty sure the listerine will kill the yeast on your tooth brush. It will also kill strep if you gargle with it.

I soak mine in peroxide, and you can see foaming and a little whitish on top of the water. I use my toothbrush to brush my tongue, so probably that would deposit more yeast on your toothbrush???

I use one toothbrush at a time and put them in the dishwasher.

i'd be surprised if the reaction that your toothbrush causes in listerine is of any significance at all.

Also ... my girlfriend (who is a dental hygienist) just read this and said the following .. "if you have thrush, you know it. It's like a white plaque all over your mouth that you can wipe off."

I'd stick to visual confirmation over wacky spit tests.

Toothbrushes are not all made from the exact materials. And, if the cup used was plastic, that could also matter. But how your mouth looks and feels are the most important clues.

I hope you are getting alcohol-free mouthwash. Also one free of all additives and dyes. That is vital.

One drop of Grapefruit Seed Extract in 1/4 to 1/2 cup water is best. Or one drop of Tea Tree oil in 1/2 cup of water.

Herb Pharm Spilanthes Compound (tincture) is also good.

I use a toothbrush sanitizer.
