My doctor said he has seen people with CDC positive blood test result but with no symptom and health, and people with negative result but very ill.

Why? because everyone's immune symptom is different?

As for a CDC positive test, not just immune function but other stressors may not have started to sink the boat, so to speak.

A negative test result can never be assumed to be accurate. The testing just simply cannot measure up to this exquisitely intricate bacteria.

There are over 300 different strains of lyme. And a multitude of variables including morphing, cycles, forms, biofilm, etc.. History, past infections, other infections, etc. are just part of it. We have so much to learn.

Lyme is just one of many "stealth" infections. If one were to ascribe human characteristics, borrelia is absolutely brilliant and extremely talented at what it does. Sadly.

A strong immune system with solid cell mediated immunity can produce the antibodies and suppress the infection.

Those who are seriously ill in a chronic state may have had a strong immune system initially but as it weakened, their antibody levels either may not have developed sufficiently or they disappeared over time.

The tests themselves are pretty inadequate and require a better commercial test that is approved.
