I've been having weird dreams for months, but now it's like I'm falling asleep but am not completely asleep but am dreaming the weirdest things. The only one I can remember from last night is having peanut butter spread all over my hands.

I need to keep a diary near my bed so that I can write it down when I wake up and try to remember some of the other crazy dreams.

Does anyone else experience this...or am I just a tad bit crazy lol

I've had some terrible nightmares lately. I'm on Mepron and Zmax, and Humaworm. It's a little disturbing but hopefully will pass.

I keep having the same reoccuring dream everynight. This has been going on for a month and it's very strange. I am also having night sweats with these dreams. I don't know how I could possibly be having the same dream on a routine basis.

My medications are:
Tetracycline, Cymbalta, Clonazepam, Trazadone, and Dr. B's nutritional supplements.

That is tough to deal with. I have that problem all the time. Having very random/odd thoughts that pop into my head suddenly, especailly when I'm trying to sleep and/or relax. It also happens sometimes during the day when I'm trying to concentrate on something, but by far it is the most severe/disturbing at night. It's quite upsetting. Bad dreams have also been an issue. I also have the feeling that I'm dreaming when I'm not really asleep. I hope this symptom goes away after a while.. Has anyone out there had this symptom disappear at some point during treatment?

I'm on Bactrim/Biaxin/Flagyl pulse...so I don't know if they do that or not.

It's crazy and I don't like it! LOL! I want it to stop!

I know, me too! I am on Biaxin, Bactrim DS, Mepron, & Aretmisinin. I just started the Bactrim a little over a week ago. I am now taking it in place of Doxy.
Unfortunately, I noticed this odd symptom before I started treatment, so I am inclined to think it is something to do with Bartonella and/or Lyme. It has only worsened with treatment though. I cannot wait for the day that I can get a restful night's sleep free of these odd thoughts and dreams!

Me too, big time. my crazy dreams started about a week after I had my last bicillin shot, last month. my dreams are whacked out, big time..... I see the doc on wed. I wonder what it could mean. I too suspect Bart, though I don't know if that's what could be causing the dreams. I have them every night.

For what it's worth, my dreams have become much stranger and more vivid since I started becoming more ill. I used to seldom wake up able to remember my dreams and now I can almost every morning. It's also common for me to have multiple dreams in just one night, waking up in between them.

hey folks,

i have this issue too! expecially when iam tired, i have strange thoughts.

mine appeared 1 year ago!!! i dream EVERY night.. its very VERY disturbing because u cant rest at night...

it appeared while treating bartonella with tavanic/mino/flagyl ...

ive read many times here, that babesia cause this symptom.. actually im on babesiatreatment (biaxin/mepron/flagyl)... but i didnt noticed a change in this symptom.

i would be thankful if someone got rid off this symptom could post with which meds he did.

I was having dreams while I was still awake,or just before falling sleep, very strange .

This crazy symptom seems to have left for now. I am sleeping better than I have in quite some time.

Still treating Babesia with A-Bab ( 4 months). Should get better littlebit27.

When my Babesia symptoms were flaring hard at the end of last year, and beginning of this year, I had nightmares regularly. Nightmares in which I died, or felt helpless. I was so accustomed to dying in my dreams, I wouldn't even wake up phased anymore.

As my treatment progressed they stopped and have been replaced by sometimes wild dreams, but usually very exciting and enjoyable.

For me, I think it's definitely a Babs thing.

Well, I am glad to know my son is not alone with these nightmares... though I wish they would go away for his sake. He's scared to death!

Figures, it's babs and parasites. Nasty buggers!

Sleep well and dream of rainbows and pots of gold!!!

Count me in. They went away for a little while and so I thought I was in the clear. But they are back with a vegenance! I am only on Doxy. So vivid and I remember most of it. They are very long dreams too. Seems I am dreaming for hours upon hours.

They are night terrors, the most awful kinds of 'nightmares' I ever had. Everything faded when I got better, I NEVER got them again.

I believe that in my case, they were mostly caused by infection but also by excess of toxins.

Taking binders reduce anxiety and so reduce these night terrors too. Binders binders binders.

I did this early in treatment. It was horrible. It was nother worldly.

I've absolutely had this

These kinds of dreams came along with night sweats for me. They went away soon after a few rife treatments for Babesia.

Bump

My Doctor was explaining this to me yesterday.
Says it's very common.

He recommends trazadone or gabapentin for sleep

I took a class in college once where I had to wake up every morning and record my dreams. To this day when I first wake up, I start thinking of what I was dreaming about.

I get a lot of guidance in my dreams. If I can't figure out what the dream is telling me I usually go to dreammoods online dictionary and figure out
the meaning.

One can open up a whole new world when they start discovering what dreams are trying to tell you.

From what I understand this is a symptom of bart and I also wonder if it's a symptom of candida. Based on my own experience I've had both of these the longest and now that I'm conquering them a bit the dreams are becoming more fragmented and breaking apart.

I see it as a sign that treatment is going well but it's strange for me. They've been such a part of my identity and life for decades that it's really hard for me to let them go, the dreams that is, not the pathogen. And even if they are bad I really miss "going to the movies" when I'm asleep.

I get this when I take too much of a med or supplement that increases serotonin.

Posted by canefan17 (Member # 22149) on :

Interesting cocwyo

Oddly enough my doctor prescribed Trazodone which is known to increase seratonin.

And based on searching here it seems many respond negatively to trazodone.

I have this, I assumed from LDN.

I dream all the time, the dreams aren't scary but can be weird and feel like pp had said, that they feel like they go on and on.

They don't bother me though because they aren"t overly scary. I have joked with my hubby that I like them because at least I get to have a life at night while I sleep because I am feeling to sick to do much while I'm awake

@canefan17: Trazodone definitely caused vivid dreams for me. I try not to take anything that affects serotonin after noon.

I wish I could tell you a simple solution to help sleep, but I take several things at dinner and bedtime that help me. Here's the list anyway. Maybe something will jump out at you.

Dinner:
Seriphos - 1 capsule
Lithium Orotate - 20mg
Dilantin (Rx) - 100mg

Bedtime:
Seriphos - 1 capsule
Magnesium malate chelate - 500mg

I hope you find something that works for you soon. Sleep deprivation sucks!
