I guess I don't look at my feet much in fall/winter but this a.m. I noticed that the left side of my big tonail (right foot) is turning green. Not where it's growing in (at bottom) but the left side and it covers only 1/8th or so of the nail from the bottom to top. It looks like it may be bumpy but not enough "area" to really tell.

I'm going to rife for fungus today but has anyone else experienced this and have any idea what it is??

Should I see a physician?

Is it from a past bruising or injury?

No it's not a bruise - at first I thought it was, too, though.

I don't think it's systemic because it's not growing in from the bottom - but it's definately "in" the nail. And that part of the nail is bumpy.

I think maybe it grew from the top left part of the nail - it was very very short there from breaking off when I hit it a few times under a counter. It looks similar to when I got nail fungus when I had acrylic nails way back when but on a smaller part of the nail. It doesn't hurt or anything.

I'm going to watch it closely.

Sounds fungal and you should hit it with something to make sure. Lots of topical treatments out there. Clove oil is my favorite for nail fungus.

Candida Albicans (yeast infection): This more commonly affects fingernails than toenails. The infection can turn nails yellow or green or the nail may look opaque. This infection can be treated topically.

Thanks for the answers!

I'm going to continue to rife and I also bought a natural fungal topical treatment with about four or five natural anti-fungals. (pretty sure clove oil is in there and tea tree oil)
