I have taken mainly ceftriaxon and azithro, would they kill babesia or would I need anything else.
Also are there any herbal supplements that would kill the above.
Thanks

- Q: What antibiotics are uses for babesia ?
Antiparasitic drugs are needed for babesia, much like the drugs used for malaria, a similar protozoan/parasitic infection. Mepron, Malarone are two common ones. Levaquin, too. Quinine but that can pose some problems.
As for herbal, artemisinin is the most common one. Whatever is used, it must be combination treatment. Any single agent is never enough, there must be at least two Antiparasitic drugs on board at the same time. Rotation is also frequently used.
Is your doctor well versed with Babesia treatment? Most LLMDs are. As for the herbal, you might seek out a LL ND.
