I started Byron Whites AL complex for Lyme and had an severe physical herx theat cleared and now I have severe Facial twitching, shooting pains in my nerves in my teeth, tingling tonge but the twitches are the worse all over my face and some in my legs and severe anxiety that feels all physical from being so Neuro - I feel really Neuro/Electrical in my face.
I know this goes after Lyme and its SO STRONG but I also read it can make a co-infection present, does this sound like a co-infection
Its Unbearable - I have been advised to back off the AL and its worse and I have to restart it tomorrow

Oh no I'm supposed to start these soon. I pray this doesn't happen. I read the inserts my LLMD's office sent on the herbs. They make them sound like miracles that cure/improve EVERY infection known to man. I'm sorry to hear what a horrid reaction you're having.

Your symptoms strongly resemble hypocalcemia (very low calcium)....please Google hypocalcemia....some medications will cause you to excrete calcium.....Please make sure you are taking in enough Vitmain D and calcium.....

I say you're herxing, killing alot of bugs. Maybe too many at one time and you need to back off for awhile.
Before my diagnosis, I had a facial twitch which went away with antibiotic treatment.
But 6 mos. ago, I started Mepron and I herxed bigtime. This herx included facial twitching in the same location: my lower lip. The twitch finally went away again, even tho I continue with Mepron.
If I had your herxing symptoms I would back off on what you're taking for awhile. Reintroduce it gradually.

Thanks everyone AL Complex is a potent combinations of herbs from Byron White. My LLMD said they had seen some very intense Herx's at 1 drop.......I was scepticle that a Herbal product could make you herx, well I have NEVER herxed as hard as I did on this
Week 1 on 1 drop a day t was a realy physical Herx but when upping to 4 drops a day I ended up with this severe facial twitching/Anxiety - LLMD said it was a Herx and to back off but its not subsiding
The Formula has 14 different herbs in it and 10 Target Spiro's/Cysts/Intracellular forms of Lyme and also Parasites, bacteria all sorts
So Perhaps its the combo of hitting everything at one, a little bit like taking a huge assortment of antibiotics
As I say it has not subsided but I think I exceeded my dose as I went from 1 to 4 drops a day
This is VERY POWERFUL - I also believe it can bring out the other bugs/Co infections so I will have to talk to LLMD about that as there are also forula's for Babs and Bart .A-Babs & A-Bart

Which one is he starting you on?
I am unsure how he wants you to dose I think normally he see's your response and then adds in another
I have to do all 3 but I cant get past the ast one yet
strange as all the roots of my teeth are alive, so so neuro nothing like I have ever had so I will have to contact him again

I have similar symptoms. I have not taken the herbal remedy that you mention. I do have Lyme, and have been on antibiotics for almost 1 year, have had improvements in every symptom except for this, it seems to be getting worse. magnesium helps me over-all, but does not stop this symptom, nor does vitamin B.
It is distressing to live with this. I am taking some meds neurologists have prescribed, but they do not help much, just make me sleepy.

I am on.....Sydetox, Mundapur, Oral PLX, LOADS of antioxidents, Burbur/Parsley, Alka Seltzer & Lemon water and IV Glutathione daily

There is a post running on Facebook and EVERYONE is saying they can not get past 1 drop and some only able to do 1 drop 2 x week of AL Complex, A-Bart & A-Babs

The strange thing is the literature makes it sound like getting up to 10 drops is easy and just a bit of herxing and wham good to go and cured. I hope there is lots of gain for all the pain. I want to hear lots of people went into remission or lots of symptoms went away and not just herx, herx, herx. Hopefully it does work!

Rianna, Google "trigeminal neuralgia" and "atypical trigeminal neuralgia" and see if any of these symptoms match what you are experiencing.
I learned from my neurosurgeon that 1 in 4 Lyme patients experience symptoms of this during their infection (he quoted this from Dr. Burrascano). He says the only way to get rid of it is to aggressively treat Lyme.

Rianna, I'm curious, how many people are reporting about these formulas on facebook? I'm up to 12 drops of A-L and A-Bab with no noticeable effect. I started with A-L first then added A-Bab a few days later. I've been taking them for only 19 days. Any thoughts? I really want these to work.

The only thing that helps my facial twitching is sublingual B-12.
I also take Magnesium.

Did anyone notice that AL Complex has Astragalus in it? Buhner specifically states in his book that Astraguls is contraindicated with late-stage Lyme because it will stimulate Th1 response which is already overstimulated in late Lyme. This can result in a worsening of symptoms.
My son's LLMD took him off of abx and put him on AL Complex and he seemed to get worse. He took 10 drops/day right from the start and we didn't notice much herxing, but his symptoms graudally got worse. When we doubled the dose to 20 drops/day, we did notice significant increase in his symptoms for 3 days (possible herx) then slight improvement from that point, but still much worse than before. This continued for 3 weeks, thus it was no longer just a herx.
He also developed what appeared to be a psoriasis spot after starting the AL Complex. To me, this was an indication that his immune system was being overstimulated (psoriasis is autoimmune), so we stopped the AL Complex.

I'm thinking of just starting with the A-Babs to see how I do. I think all three at once is a disaster waiting to happen and perhaps some 'overselling' by the LLMD's office.
From what I'm reading here, no one is reporting any improvement on anything other than A-Babs. Am I missing something?
