I am not seeing a LLMD just my GP. He says lyme but would like your to know what you think.
I had, had a sinus infection previous and had been on an abx..Not sure the time span maybe been off abx about 2 wks.
My Western blot read like this everything Nonreactive except for IgG 41kd reactive and the Igm 23kd reactive , the other bands nonrective.
The doc feels with a positive 41kd IgG and a positive 23kd Igm is enough for him to say I am positive even though the CDC calls for more positive bands.
The test was done by Quest labs. Western Blot.

Well, you have a special GP to suspect lyme with just a couple of bands.
Perhaps the same GP would run the Igenex western blot for you.
Or you could also commence treatment and see how you do. What are your symptoms?

If you have 41 and 23 on IgM, I believe that's CDC positive. It's IgG that needs more bands to be IgG positive. I don't see a reason for more testing, and yes, if you're having symptoms, I would treat if it were me.

My symptoms are anxiety/depression, fatigue, body aches, off balance at times, blurry vision, light and noise sensitivity, fatigue, ringing in the ears.
This all started with a vertigo attack 9 yrs ago, seems I have never been the same. Was first dx with an inner ear problem, then anxiety/depression, positive for mono later was dx with Fibromyalgia but didn't have the tender points, later CFS now lyme.. Symptoms vary and come and go..There will be days I am up being"normal" then days I feel like I am dying.
I only had one positive IgM which was 23 and one positive IgG band 41..
I have started treatment with abx and supplements..Didn't feel it would hurt to try.
Will try treatment for awhile to see how it goes..

Well, if you were "positive for mono" you may also have active viral infections...including EBV. Here's some info:
It's possible to have both active viral and bacterial pathogens giving you problems.

Lucky that a GP, and out in the middle of nowhere, was that smart to suspect Lyme! My grandparents live out there-on a mountain but my grandma goes to FL for treatment.
My uncle was hospitalized at the closest hospital to Galax and they transferred him because they didn't know what to do with a blood clot. So I'm glad you found a decent GP out there!!! Maybe i should get that person's name for my grandparents, I know both of them travel pretty far for their doctors.
