It may seem strange to think that a drug designed to improve bone strength could cause death of bone in the jaw, but that is exactly what is happening.

Since 2001, 2,400 patients have reported bone death in their jaws (ONJ) after taking medication to treat bone density issues.

$$$$$Folks this is just a smidgen of the whole story. $$$$$

Think about what we know is now in our populations---...what does Syphilis do to the jaw bones in necrosis?

Is it possible these drugs are feeding organisms that love vitamin D and yet in some are not able to cross the BBB?

I do believe this is a lot more than they admit.

Very sad. Fosamax is a prescription pharmaceutical, though, not a nutritional supplement.

This happened to me.

I lost 12 teeth, and had seven surgeries before I came across the first papers linking Jaw Necrosis to Actonel that I was taking.

Stopped the Actonel, had another surgery and it healed up well.

I had IV abx for 2 months after this surgery and all my "CFS" symptoms disappeared. They came back with avengance when the PICC line was removed. This is how I ended up getting diagnoses with Lyme.

I also have KPU. Dr K says that there can be zero Zinc in the jawbone with KPU, and that jaw bone biopsy is often the best way to diagnose it. Not many are going to get that done!

representing 7 days worth of 400 IU of vitamin D.

(The recommended intake of vitamin D is 400-800 IU daily). FOSAMAX has been demonstrated to reduce the risk of both hip and spine fractures in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and is now the only bisphosphonate with the added benefit of a weekly dose of vitamin D.
