My God, I'm sorry for posting so often today, but I still have so many questions in my mind...
I've been reading about serotonin being an essential neurotransmitter for digestion, immune system regulation, mood... you already know about that! Now I am wondering what does serotonin play as a role in nerve pain, could a low level creat nerve pain, and thus if raising srotonin levels would help it... Whn I tried elavil I started getting electric shocks so I don't thik I will try other SSRI's... Also, i read that medications lower serotnin as it depletes vitamin B, so for those of us for whom the nerve pain doesn't seem to respond to any treatment, could it be because of this low level? Is there any available test to check that actually? I know my pain is relieved with movement, so what the heck is this all about? I also know that it improves when I'm in a good mood, and I really feel there is something wrong in my nerve cells "communication"... What do you think?
Thanks again for reading!

Very interesting to read that your nerve pain is better while in motion, so is mine.

I am suffering the worst nerve pain I've ever had and I've had three back surgeries.

I find that during the day when I'm on the move, it is better. While laying in bed trying to nod off, it's relentless.

My nerve pain is stabbing and deep boring pain.

I wish there was medication we could take to help nerve pain.

Hi,
Have you asked your LLMD about Alpha Lipoic Acid? I read that it is prescribed for neuropathy associated with diabetes.

Maybe you could try L-Theanine.
