Thanks to a recent thread in which someone was inquiring about undenatured whey protein, I was prompted to look for more options for a quality product.
I had been using Immunocal. It normally goes for $90 and change for a box of 30 packets. If you become a distributor, you can get it for $60 a box. I had a distributor who was selling it to me for the distributor price.
I later switched to ImmunoPro from ProHealth. With discounts I was getting it for $40 for a 300 gram tub which contained 60 servings. I was always a little uneasy with the fact that the scoop and serving size was so much smaller than that of the Immunocal packets. I also didn't like the fact that it came in a tub. Some say that putting it in a tub compromises the potency/effectiveness of the product.
IMU Plus was another brand that was mentioned on the Dr. Cheney page. I couldn't find a good source for that product when I initially looked, but this time I found a source that offers it at a great price. It's a couple of bucks less than the distributor price for Immunocal, but it has twice as many packets (60), so effectively, it's half the price of Immunocal for a product that looks very comparable.

They don't take paypal, so if you don't like putting your credit card over cyberspace, you can indicate on the web form that you're paying by personal check just to generate an order number. Then you can call them and give them your order number and credit card number over the phone and they'll send it right out. This much better time-wise than sending them a check, waiting for them to rcv it and for the check to clear before they send it.
They have a toll-free number that shows up when you place the order.
This looks like a top-flight product at a price much more reasonable than Immunocal. I ordered mine today and will post a review after receiving it.

It didn't mention if the cows were giving hormones or steroids? I could have possibly missed it?
Goatein is a great source of non steroid 100% protein and amino acids.

The NOW product is not undenatured, therefore it's not going to raise glutathione and provide the multiple benefits Lyme patients are seeking.
When I receive the IMU Plus product, I'll check for more detailed labeling on the sugar and gluten thing. Otherwise a call to the vendor or manufacturer would do the trick.

Is this one any better ? It specifically says it's undenatured.
It's funny how they can call it PURE and then in the list of ingredients, there's vanilla flavoring.
The Swanson product is marketed as a muscle buliding protein, not as an immune system booster and detoxifier, which is the main goal of undenatured whey protein.

My post is not meant to be contentious so please don't perceive it as such. You seem to be knowledgeable about whey protein (specifically undenatured and I'm trying to make an informed buying decision.
I, like many others, have limited funds to allocate and must do so wisely.
This whey product (offered by Swansons as Ori Hofmekler's Vanilla Whey Protein Powder - http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU477/ItemDetail) looks as if it is of good value. You mention that the other Swanson's label offering has too many additional ingredients.
This has two additional ingredients. It is fewer ingredients than even PaleoMeal Organic Whey Protein by Designs For Health that you have mentioned as satisfactory in another posting. Unfortunately, this product is not offered in individual packets.
Do you believe this a good source of undenatured whey? Please advise.

One of the articles to which I provided a link earlier states that manufacturing undenatured whey protein that is effective in restoring L-Glutathione to cells and detoxing is an expensive process.
There are not any products on the market that are economical that provide the desired effect. I am not rich, so I'm just as disappointed about this as anyone. I've even gone without for periods of time because of the expense.
Here's my approved product list:
1. IMU Plus by Swiss Bioceutical 2. Immunocal by Immunotec 3. ImmunoPro by Well Wisdom 4. Whey Cool Plain Powder by Designs for Health
None of these products are cheap. I prefer the first two because they come in individual foil packets.
I just tried IMU Plus for the first time about a week ago, and it is the real deal. It has the same texture and reacts the same to mixing as Immunocal.
If the aforementioned products can not be afforded, then it makes no sense to throw away money on cheaper alternatives. It's like putting water in a car's gas tank because gasoline is too expensive. It just won't work.
For an education on whey protein powder, read this thread and the links I provided therein:
Don't go crazy with products remember everything is relative in this world.And the best is what your body likes.
For some will be just normal everyday food and if we treat good our gut it will take from the food whatever it needs.
And yes if you have allergies just avoid the foods that have ingredients on what you are allergic.
Meds and herbs to kill the bacteria they should be top priority .
No matter what supplement we take or don't without them no remission.
Look to get best for the buck and your situation.
For me any whey helps me to do my workout i look price and sugar only on them,and don't take it everyday just when I need a hand for workout.
Just go to JIM and workout your body will tell you what he needs and if you need to help him with the whey.
My body needed help with whey for 2 months now I take it once a week or less.
I just take antibiotics ,antifungals,B-complex vitamins,something for viruses one of them(monolaurin ,OLE,Oregano oil, garlic),probiotics all this is my base.
Other things take them her and there not everyday and sometimes try new stuff based on research that I will do on it and don't wont to throw money and try everything but just one at a time
We have to prepare our body for the real life .

Supplements are not regulated so you can buy a product and it can contain none of the active ingredient in it. Studies have found this to be true.
I know not everyone can afford them but one may be better off just buying a few of the essentials of a quality brand rather than getting nothing but fillers, many of which are not very good for you.
