I have been pretty itchy for a few months now. Particularly my wrists and lower legs. SinceI started Cipro for BArt, I have gotten much itchier, culminating today in a 12 hour itchfest! The same spots are incredibly itchy, but now my whole body itches, including my face. Neck itches like hell too. Upper back, shoulder blades, egads man....

Is this a BArt reaction? Does Bart make you itch? I would be thrilled if this were a herx, seeing as I neevr got a lab positive for Bart.

My first, got to go to the doctor and figure out what is wrong with me, symptoms were intense itching. When I say intense, I seriously mean waking up in the middle of the night scratching like a flea bag. It was sheer torture. I took a variety of antibiotics but, Amoxicillin pills and amoxicillin gel for the skin got rid of all the itching. Ahhhh. Just be aware, stress can trigger a return of the lyme symptoms. Have been symtom free for probably 6 to 7 years and just flared. Probably stress related. Best of luck to you!

Maybe skin brushing would help get rid of the toxins in the skin and reduce the itching. It's something you do every day.

My daughter experienced this. Her itching NEVER went away and it moved from her legs to her upper back, and then to her chest.

It was yeast. She took Difulcan for two weeks and the itching is gone. She also tries to eat a clean, yeast free diet.

I'm hopeful that the itching won't return.

Itching for me is ALWAYS yeast.

Tutu, I'm just so thankful that we found out why she was itching so bad.

She was scratching to the point of making scars. It was really a nightmare for a long time.
