First month was tough. But after 3 months saw considerable improvements with GI issues. New symptoms also appeared initially (and stayed with me)and short term flare-up occured thru the first six months.

GI improvements leveled off after 6 months and I hit a plateau.

Changed to Tetracycline last October an felt like crap since. Took a 3 day break at xmas.

It was very gradual for me. It got rid of some muscle aches and fatigue. Was on plaquenil for 6 months, added biaxin for 1 month.

Have been taking both for 6 months. I took them alone for 3 months and saw a little improvement but when I added Doxycycline after the 3 months, I saw a lot of improvement right away and continue to slowly get better on the doxy/biaxin/plaq. I have reason to believe the I primarily have Bart and that's why adding the doxy has helped so much. I am getting diagnosed for cos in a few weeks.

The combo of the Biaxin / Plaquenil helped fatigue, cognitive and some of the vibrations and jerking in my body.

gmb and cleo-

I have been on biaxin and planequil for about a month. and im seeing improvement. Ive heard its a very good combo

and. on another note . I think what they mean by the first few months were brutal is that they herxed alot. so they got worse before they got better. which is what happens. dont be discouraged if it gets worse for a while. thats normal

Does everyone realize Biaxin has huge anti-inflammatory properties? I wonder if that's why it helps so many.
