Hello Brave Soldiers!

I am very new here- (first post) and wondering if anyone can shed some light on experiences with WBs coming back negative after an initial and first positive response?? The time interval was 2 weeks between tests with no Antibiotic or other treatments? I have heard of the contrary negative WBs after long periods/then a pos WB but never this way. I have much to learn... I thank you all for making this forum possible!!

I can't answer about false positive but I can say that mine and my kids' blood tests, cbc and cmp, used to change dramatically each week. Because our counts use to jump all around I guess I wouldn't worry if a blood test came different for lyme. I have a friend whose daughter tested neg. on wb 4 times before she had a positive and she had lyme really badly.

I would check your symptoms with a llmd. Hope this helps.

Well the fact that your test came back positive at all pretty much answers it. I'd have to say thats positive. any kind of positive on a lyme test points to lyme because alot of people dont even test positive. at all. so if someones testing positive thats a HUGE red flag

from what I've learned on these boards. There really are not false positives with lyme. Especially if someone is symptomatic. Its false negatives you have to worry about

What are your symptoms? Can you list them for us please

You should definatly make an appointment with an LLMD.

Brief recap......Here are a few:

Numbness-tingling- rt hand/arm radiculopathy
arm progression: rigidity, loss of finer motor coordination/movement

chronic fatigue

depression/anxiety/irritability (very)

joint pain/shoulder- granola crunchy-articulation

agoraphobia (even though he won't admit it ;-)))

hip pain/joints, etc...

Also have other implications as my husband was dx with MS- active lesions on last MRI. Lots of stuff to sift thru- starting 6 weeks of Roc IV tomorrow-2 grams 2weeks, upping to 3 grams weeks 3/4 then 4 grams weeks 5/6... Including Delursan ans Plaquenil orally.

Thanks for all your responses!

Onbam-thanks!!! will reconnect when i can get my head around this

Probably just a fluke. Get a test through Igenex Lab.

www.igenex.com -- Test #188 and 189

Thanks!

Only problem is that Igenex Lab does not have existing facilities in France. We seem to have found another "reliable" one....
