After years of doing this, I've found that oral Mg and Ca supps AND foods containing either, act like an absorbent of sorts and counteract most other orals taken at the same time.
Mg & Ca affect many rx drugs for thyroid, hypertension, etc. They affect multivitamins, probiotics and many other oral supps. Best to take Mg/Ca together, well away from other orals and avoid milk, cheese, yogurts, etc. at that time as well.
Truly, it is a real challenge. One way you might avoid a long wait time when planning your doses is to use transdermal Mg. It provides a bit more flexibility.
So, am I to understand that taking Mg and Ca with antibiotics is not good either?
I never take the probiotics or multivitamin with the antibiotic, but was taking Ca at this time and Mg with the antibiotic (Doxy and pulsing Flagyl).

I don't really see why you couldn't take mg with a probiotic... Probiotics are not absorbed into the body anyway?

What about taking magnesium and calcium with herbs?
I have a mag and a multimineral with calcium that I need to find a way to space away from everything else. I was thinking of putting it in with my parastroy...
