Maybe someone will have good information for me.
I posted a few days ago with bleeding nose and wanted to know if this is part of lyme and coinfections; a few responded with having a yes answer.

Last night and this morning I was brushing my teeth and my mouth became a bloody mess. My knees are swollen with blood fluid, looks like.

Last year I was coughing up blood, but drs. could not figure out why.

I do not want to alarm my family with my concern unless absolute. I have been feeling needy to my spouse, and my youngest saw my bloody mess of a nose the other day and thought I was going to die and he told me he would just die if I did, so they would need to make room for him. Broke my heart.

I do not have high b/p actually it's low. I take garlic as my antibiotic.... could this be part of my bleeding issues?

My gums bleed sometimes when I brush my teeth, and all the time when I floss. You need to address this and find out what the cause could be (periodontal disease? That is the case with me) When I was on abx treatment the bleeding gums went away for quite a long time.
As for the nose bleeds...I don't know what is causing it. Is your nose irritated by dry winter air or by indoor heated air? I get nose bleeds sometimes in the winter because of this.
Of course, you do need to see a doctor for these issues to find out for sure what is causing them.
Is it possible you have a bleeding disorder? (My son is a hemophilac and I am a hemophilia carrier, so I do tend to bleed easier than most)

Garlic is a natural blood thinner.

There are other supplements that are natural blood thinners as well. Vit E, fish oil, vinpocetine and others.

If you are bleeding for no known reason, strongly consider going off garlic and evaluating your other supplements.

Thank you ickyticky and terry,

I went to my natural food warehouse and the lady there is so wonderful...her husband had lyme disease many years ago....anyway she told me to rotate my oregano and olive leaf and space out the garlic. wow and did not know fish oil was a blood thinner and I take this 4 times a day.

She also mentioned the Vit.K, so I will start taking it also.

You might also want to increase your vitamin C. Vitamin C insufficiency can cause increased bruising and maybe the bleeding gums as well.

A 2nd possibility is insufficient folic acid -- think this causes bleeding gums as well.

How heavy are your nosebleeds?

Not to scare you, but both my ex-husband and my mother experienced severe nosebleeds prior to being diagnosed with brain tumors. In my ex's case, it was 10 YEARS prior.

Have you ever been checked for a brain tumor? And do you use a wireless phone?
