I just switched from 400mg of doxy to 400 of mino, and i'm very dizzy. Is this too much to be on?
Should i give it a couple days before i quit?

My doc prescribed 300mg a day for me, and 150mg for my 11 year old daughter.
We both started with very low doses and worked up.
I'm not sure if size has anything to do with dosage, but my daughter weighs 92 lbs. and I am 118.

thanks, maybe i should only take half for a few days. The office won't be open till monday, and my head feels like it could explode. I don't know about the weight thing, i only weigh 127.

400 mg of Mino is a MONSTER crazy dose from what I've heard. I'm not sure you doc has that right.

My daughter was just switched today at her monthly visit. Doxy to Mino.
Our LLND said 100mg 2x day is the standard dose for Mino. My daughter was on doxy 200 mg 2 x day.
Even though she was used to the dose of doxy, our LLND said to build up slowly with the mino so that she doesn't have a bad herx. She is starting out at 50mg just at night for a few nights. Then we will increase to 50 in AM and 50 in PM.
We will slowly build up to get her to 100 in the am and 100 in the PM. When my daughter first started abx treatment for Lyme last February the dose was mino 100 mg 2 x day.
Within 2 days she was having the herx from he...
My suggestion would be to talk to your LLMD and slowly ramp up.
