My aunt was bitten by a wood tick a few months back. Of course, she got tested and was neg. She doesn't complain of any typical Lyme symptoms, but a few weeks after the bite, she started developing a serious case of psoriasis. She gets it on her wrists, arms and legs. She complains that she itches all over her entire body including inside of her ears. She also has small, sensitive subcutaneous nodules on her arms. There is no streaking, such as the classic Bart rash. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of an onset of Psoriasis as a symptom of early Lyme. She's curious too, but it would be hard to get her to a LLMD, since she doesn't feel lousy and probably wouldn't go for it. BUT if I could provide her with some good info about Lyme induced skin problems, I think it might change things.

Yes, yes, yes - I had psoriasis develop on my ears, elbows and knees. Only, I didn't know I had Lyme.
I was at one of our health expos and a wholistic healthcare person said oxygenated water would work. He sold me some oxygenated water he had gotten in Mexico.
In one week, the psoriasis everywhere was gone. Very interesting, isn't it, that psoriasis could be another symptom of oxygen deficiency?
So I guess the trick is to learn what can duplicate that. I don't know alot about that. I am guessing that hydrogen peroxide could. If others could chime in on this. Thx -

I don't exactly know when I was infected. But I suspect many, many years ago. I had an overnight onset of psoriasis and joint pain.
the psoriasis cleared completely with my lyme treatment...i think it is a very likely possiblilty.

oh! and i remember LymeblogMD saying that he had many lyme patients with psoriasis who also cleared with treatment...fwiw

a couple months after i was bit i broke out with "spongiatic" dermatitis i think it was called. cleared up now but that was not fun. as far as i know psoriasis and dermatitis are kind of similar
