Hi everyone! I stumbled across something today.

I read about enemas; garlic! Eating or the enema.

Google garlic and lyme and see what is says, interesting.

This is my next course of in home treatment.
Don't have much faith in Docs, so this certainly cannot hurt.

Good Luck,
hh

Yuck.. I wouldn't be able to eat it!!

and I can't even imagine it as an enema...omg

Do a search here, horsehelper... there are a lot of people doing enemas it seems.

Garlic is good in general and is good for yeast.

You have to get the juice in the garlic that is the healing part. I don't think pills will do it but pure organic garlic is good.. Or you can try Allisin not sure of the spelling. It has been mentioned on the forum.

Since my last antibiotic episode I am going to try
allisin, gee wish I knew the correct spelling. Along with grapeseed extract capsules.

I love garlic and was eating it until I started having gerd from the abx..

Now an enema I can't imagine nor a coffee one..

Garlic is usually taken orally. I'm afraid it would burn terribly if you tried to use it as an enema. And it might disrupt your healthy GI flora predisposing you to opportunistic overgrowth. Not sure how much garlic would be absorbed in this manner either.

Are you planning on treating yourself? Or are you just considering trying things while you wait to see an LLMD?

If you are thinking of treating yourself please reconsider. There are alternative medicine practitioners that have experience treating Lyme. Many LLMDs also use combinations of antibiotics and herbs. Find someone that you can trust to guide you on the path to wellness. It's too hard to go this alone.

There are several threads on the use of garlic and it's benefits. Maybe you can do a search under garlic and Gigi, she has posted some great info on garlic.

Yes, I did it once! It did the garlic enema. Also last night a make a special drink. Boil garlic cloves, then when done and soft, smash up and put this and the boiled garlic water in a mug, add a little honey, little lemon, and little cinammon, pretty good!

Still need to get follow up blood work. Really, though, why go on with any treatment when I know I've been ill more than one year. It's probably not going to go away, so I'll do what I can my way!

WHAT???? Many of us had this for years upon years and still got well. It is NOT too late. You're way ahead of most people on this board.

lymetoo
you got that right!

I am getting tons better in year four and for some that is newbie level

which is not to say proactively stop exploring and do what more for yourself.

look at what so many find here that helps

no matter how good the combo of helpers...you still gotta be front and center helping yourself.
