This is one of the most confusing symptoms I have. Because, I cannot differentiate between the different sensations.
First, I've had muscle twitching where the muscle pulsates involuntary without any movement. Spastic pulsing that continues pumping at 2-3 twitches a second, and continues for minutes or hours.
But, that is not the most common type of twitching I deal with.
The twitching most common for me feels like its deep in the tissue, in the nerves; prominently around the knees and legs but also face.
It feels more like a incomplete contraction. It's quick, but I can feel the twitch inflate (like its pressure), and slowly release. Like something gets stuck and pushes through. And, it's only prominent when I'm laying down; more so crossing my legs.
But then there is the breathing aspect of it. Where I breathe in through my nose and can feel the sensation of this small twitch around my lips. TOTALLY in sync with my breathing. If I breathe in for 2 full seconds, the twitching will accompany it for the whole 2 seconds.
This begs the question if I'm incorrectly labeling this other type of twitch as a typical twitch, and not something requires a different view.
Can anyone relate?

Wolfed Out, Hi. Which kind of magnesium are you taking? You may need more.

Carol,
I did take Magnesium Aspartate early in my treatment, but did not notice a how difference on it, so I discontinued it.
Do you feel like it helps the type of twitches I'm trying to describe? The first type I mentioned is so rare for me. Literally a couple times a year.
So, again, I'm confused if it's really twitching -- considering the breathing aspect of it.
