it's true. you can take those indefinitely and it will not cure yeast. you need those meds for that.
so how do you find a doctor or at least convince your doctor that you have systemic yeast?
and my doctor says thrush is not systemic. i've read it is?
yeast symptoms are lyme symptoms right? can yeast cause the bull's eye? if you have both and cure the yeast, will the lyme symptoms disappear also?
bottom line -- i have not been able to find one freakin doctor who would give diflucan or even discuss yeast?
where the sam hill are they???

Just keep looking... ask around .. ask other women you know ... maybe look for an alternative type doctor I doubt you can change your dr's mind about it.

hmm, one question tho.
they did an autopsy on my mother. they found the yeast was even in her lungs and digestive system. her throat was completely closed off with yeast.
apparently she was very very bad.
so how do you know when it becomes this bad? oh i don't mean like she was, but has anybody here had yeast that was way beyond say thrush or something.
does it comes in stages? if i had known the stages of yeast then maybe i could have convinced my sisters to treat my mom for it.
shouldn't we all be aware of what stages systemic yeast are?

I would suppose that your mother was in a weakened state and the yeast took over.
I'm not aware of any stages.
I know someone battling for his life with this right now. Took long term abx without probiotics. When he DID take them, it was not enough.

mom was in the military hospital from january to june. broken arm, then pneumonia, then mrsa.
tons of antibiotics and not one damn probiotic nor diflucan.
those idiots should have known!!!! ok, she was 83, but still 5 months of abx and no diflucan.
oh, there goes my bp. i better stop thinking about this.

That's true. No hospital I know of would give a patient probiotics and RARELY diflucan. Pretty crazy.

Naturopathic physicians are generally more open to the concept of systemic yeast infections.
Natural treatments are many and varied. Oregano oil, garlic, probiotics, thyme, biotin, antifungal tannins, zinc, and many other things can help but treatment has to be customized to the individual.

One of the guys in the Lyme chat said that this product worked for him after the prescription meds for yeast did not.
He thought the doctor should have told him about this one FIRST.

I found that ThreeLac works really well, even better than diflucan. It's not cheap, but it's very good. Of course, everyone may be different, but I say it is well worth a try.
But to not be able to find a dr to rx diflucan?!?! Crazy! I guess there aren't any LLMD's in TX anymore, right? Since they got ran out of the state. But wasn't there a new one now?
In the meantime, use some natural remedies, like ThreeLac, etc. Coconut oil and olive oil are very good at killing it, too. Go slowly with the coconut oil, you can get die-off.
Too bad you can't just steal an rx pad!! (I didn't say that! It just seems ridiculous).

Can someone tell me what the signs of a yeast problem are?...I've always had this in the back of my head since I'm taking so many anti-biotics...I do take a pro-biotic twice a day.

Whatever you take, take at least 100 CFU's per day. Wish someone had told me that 10 yrs ago!

i thought threelac killed yeast.
theralac is the probiotic.
and i think there were some complaints about threelac having this bad kind of bacteria. staphyoccuccos something or other.
better look up complaints against threelac. australia has banned it.
but then who am i to say? i've heard somem people swear by it.

My Fibro and Fatigue doctor ran a blood test for yeast and a stool sample. I had tons of yeast in my blood and stool. Therefore, it was deemed Systematic. However, this FFC doctor is a medical doctor and a NP, so she was very open minded. She was also the one who ran my Lyme test and sent it straight to Igenex.
My local PCP has gotten really stingy with the diflucan prescriptions here too! She says it causes liver problems, which it can. But, Diflucan is one of the few things that has ever made me feel any better!! Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
