Significant mineral ratios: low: ca/mg, na/k, na/mg(very low) very high: ca/k, zn/cu, ca/p
I think Keebler(miss her...)mentioned if mineral levels are disturbed and toxic metals absent that can mean severe mercury toxicity. I was surprised to see no mercury on my results as I have many old fillings.
The analysis goes on to mention: slow oxidizer, exhaustion stage of stress, diminished adrenal gland activity, impaired digestion, protein synthesis and sugar/carb tolerance, and significantly decreased cell permeability. Can they really tell all this by my test results?
Thanks for reading through it. I've been able to tolerate any treatments so wondering if these results can guide me a little.

Yes, disturbed mineral levels with no toxic metals showing can mean toxicity.
Somewhere Gigi posted (within the last several months) - how to interpret hair test. It might have been on the Allergie-Immun thread. A search would probably find it.

I had high arsenic levels when my blood was tested...never had my hair tested. Actually, 'occupational levels', whatever that means.

Okay I found the post from gigi, she mentions:
"It's the ABSENCE of toxic metals and the SEVERITY and THE DISTURBANCE of the good metals that makes the diagnosis of severe mercury toxicity."
I'm just wondering if this applies to my results. I'm afraid my llmd will just look at my results and say no mercury problems, and it won't be addressed.

dogmom2, that can definitely happen. The doctor I work with in WA knows how to read hair tests and one of my first tests showed my minerals in the toilet - that was the signal for her to go to work on heavy metals with me.
Around the same time my PCP (who does not know how to do this) looked at the test and said "you don't have a heavy metal problem".
I do a test every 3 months and over the last year, the metals all started showing up in high levels and are now starting to taper down.
I don't know if the price is different in CA but I pay $49 for Doctor's Data test.

A practitioner can fax an order to Doctor's Data and they will mail it directly to you.
My ND mails me the kit and I send it directly to Doctor's Data. The written instructions that come with it say to send a check or other form of payment for $49 or $48 - can't remember which amount.

The group is mostly parents detoxing their children and Andrew Cutler with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In my eyes detoxing poisons = detoxing poisons. I don't care what the person has as a result of the poisoning. I am looking for the safest way to get the poisons out.

This is a good place to learn about hair tests. You can look at a hair test and then search for what people are saying about it.
As a matter of fact, you can post your hair test and have the people in the group help you with your hair test (I did this).
When you get the answers you are seeking, you can take your file down.
This group has tons of information in the Files, Links, Database and also in the messages themselves. I don't tend to post in the forum much because I don't like the way it is set up. I can't find my posts to see if someone answers me! I do use the search feature to get answers.

I didn't buy the "Hair Test Interpretation" book. I bought the "Amalgam Illness" book and find it very useful to have the complete protocol.
