We kinda know how Lyme does (fibrin proteins and such) but, although the literature says that babesia->hypercoagulation-> possible clotting issues, I haven't been able to find out HOW/by what mechanism.
Anyone know?

Yes, I know this is true for Lyme and infections in general, but some researchers have reasoned different, and multi, causes ~ this for Babesia. Only one of the theories is fibrin-related. One other is DIC.
Can't nail down more info, though.

My LLMD said something to the effect that with Babs, it is inside the RBC, and when they burst and break apart, that can cause clotting issues.
