I am not able to post here often because I am getting so much worse. Bitten by tick at age 15. I am now 60. Bedridden most of past 7 yrs. Brain gettings worse. Very high IL8 (over 4,000 when reference range should be less than 14). Tings are having trouble crossing blood brain barrier thus making brain fog so much worse.
Tested positive for EBV (ongoing active), Lyme & Babesia Duncani positive through Igenex in 2008, also toxic mold in house and had 2 severely infected root canals for over 10 yrs (didn't know)...so lot's of contributing factors.
Just learned there is a HBOT machine in my city (Fairfield, CA) though in a doctor's office who is not lyme literate.
Trying to clarify here with y'all and better understand when HBOT is contraindicated with lyme. I am thinking it might help with brain barrier issues, which are now fairly substantial.
However, one lyme patient said they thought it could be contraindicated with Babesia Duncani, at least until after treatment.
Thanks for any help. I am having to navigate on my own with this with impacted brain, no family to help me.

jam338, I am sorry you are so sick.
I have also heard that HBO is not good if you have Babesiosis. It is my understanding it may make it worse because of its effect on red blood cells, but I do not have any documentation supporting this.
Hopefully others will have more information.

I don't know about it's affects on babs but given that it is so expensive and not reimbursed by insurance there are much more effective ways to spend your money.
I did it back in the day when it was first making headlines in the Lyme community and it helped move up a few notches. But it was not curative.
If you have money to burn it could be a good adjunct therapy but I'd say you would be much better off investing that money in a rife machine.
