<<<<< Lyme Family >>>>>>,

So excited that My TxC' is doing better and may be home soon!

Here is my issue, ABX don't like me as it were, perhaps I herx w/ most all of them...alot?!

After some allergy problems I came up w/ a mean sinus infection. Free Clinic helped me [ Tho' I must find a regular Dr.soon].

So now I have a 10 day supply of Cipro. Dr. said, any GI upset, stop it for a day or two,and then restart.

GI IBS issues are manageable the problem is I am so shaky, and worn out... I need to be able to have some energy to help TxC'.

He will not be able to lift anything,or strain etc.. My legs feel like lead weights attached and dragging. I gotta find some energy...

The Sinus mess isn't as bad as it was, I have thru Sunday on the ABX...but I am dragging anchor...

Wondering is it Herxing...It's happened before, so far no swollen throat or rash...I just feel achey and shakey.

I am careful what I eat w/ the Cipro,as per instructions,no dairy products w/ or close to it. and wait six hours after,to have any supplements.

I can't tell if it is the stress and the infection being fought,if it is a herx,or just the usual Slyme.

Trying to be careful w/ sugars and carbs, and I am gluten free.

Any ideas on coping... is it probably a herx again... doesn't feel like meds allergy.

I have some lime juice[detox] but am almost out,and it is awhile before I can get to a store.

I'd apprecaite any tho'ts and ideas that might help get me thru so I can be of help to TxC' it wouldn't do to get him home and then have me collapse...

Jus the Silverwolfi, achey tired, but happy that my TxC' will be home fairly soon[we hope!].

PS..uh duh...un-nerving symptom I was going to ask about ... my right eye is blurring to beat the band...and I keep getting excessive hot flashes.

I tho't maybe the eye was sinus pressure...but it isn't stopping, even as the sinuses get a bit better. Maybe O'l BArt is up to Tricks again?

I get really sleepy from Cipro, too...it passes after I've been on it a couple weeks. Could be a herx too, or just plain ol' side-effects...

Can you do some detoxing via dry skin brushing or baking soda and/or epsom salt bath soaks?

What does your Lyme Doc. say about the eye thing or the fatigue from Cipro?

Thanks for the reply <<<<< Razzle >>>>> !

I don't have an LLMD/LLND at this time.

I usually do a shower/ w/ a bath bench to sit on when I get off balance. I've been using a nice lavender Epsom bath salt/ Dead Sea Salt in the tub [I block the drain ].

When I had the privilege for a short time [Like five visits in 2006] of going to an LLND who was working w/ an MD,they were certain I have Bart as well as Lyme, tho we didn't have the money for all the tests.

So most of this is treating w/ supplements and herbs. I was blessed to be able to get back in to free clinic as I am at the time limit there.

The on call sub Dr. [he was subbing for their regular providers] realized that this was a sinus infection.

Very few Drs. here are Lyme Literate. So I am going by guess and by golly... but the eye situation is bugging me... hoping it is just temporary.

It is good to know that sleepyness can be a side effect. I may see if I can find some dry brushing info on a search.

I gotta figure out something soon. Thanks again for that reply! jus' the silverwolfi

Hi <<<<< Lyme Family >>>>>,

Taking the day off from ABX, GI-IBS symptoms hit...I figure this is probably a herx again.

Will get things cleared up as best I'm able and try again.

If you have diabetes2 you are not supposed to be

doing any epson salt baths for starters so stop it!

Cipro is probably working on your sinus problem

and any neuroborreliosis you might(probably) have

so the nerves of the facial muscles and

ophthalmic muscles(because of de-myeleniation of

possible optic nerve cell coverings- or bells

palsey junk...

they're all probably just lyme symptoms and the

sinus won't clear up completely with the cipro

will feel like it...but you don't have enough

at the right dose and for long enough-

unless you have something for the Bart to follow

up with the cipro.

The only thing I could suggest would need a MD

for prescription and I am not one....

just have to hang in there and tough it out

whenever TC1 or whatever gets home...

I thought he was the one and only one that was

sick with these diseases...not both of you...

But then....I could be mixing you up with

a different silver fox....

or new things happening to folks out here all

the time...and I have'nt been here a lot///

Many times as you should already know...and any-

one on this board long enough or sick enough

surely know- there IS NO getting around this

stuff....we must resolve to get THROUGH

all this stuff to be through with it...or at

the best....to feel the best we can till a real

cure is found...if there is one...

sorry

<<<<< lymie tony z >>>>>,

Long time no hear from, I hope you are doing better!

Thanks for the info' about Epsom Salts and Diabetes ,info' I did not have!

TxC'= TxCoord [Treatment Coordinator] my husband has not had any testing yet. Probably wont get to have any since VA is ignoring his requests for Lyme testing.

He had surgery at Salt Lake City ,Utah VA Hospital for an aneurysm very scary...he was in ICU from 2:00 pm Monday, after the surgery 'til noon yesterday.

It is three hours from home to hospital,VA wont do surgeries here in SE Idaho.

Like every one w/ these illnesses,I feel discouraged from time to time...and am trying to find some means to get a little energy to help TxC' when he is back home again.

This is hubbys 10th surgery since 1982,his 3rd now in one year. May 2010,knee replacement, Oct.2010 other knee replaced, and now this aneurysm mess.

It has me on edge... and LymeNet is pretty much it for us for support.

Again, thanks for info' and commiseration..it is good to hear from you! I'm trying to take heart and just keep fighting the LD,Bart and etc.
