What does this cost? Does Medicare cover it? My husband is very adept at managing a port (I had one for 6 years) and can easily do it for me.

My pain doctor suggested that he do it in her office, but that is 20-25 minutes drive each way, I cannot drive so it is a big deal and the trip will wear me out. I may have to ask my kids to pay for it so we can do it at home.
Since I am so weak, maybe Medicare will pay for a visiting nurse to handle it.
I doesn't make sense for Medicare to pay for office visits (daily) rather than home administration, a much cheaper route. No wonder our government is broke!

Flagyl and Ketek are helping energy, but neuro symptoms remain and I doubt I will escape IV meds, if I can afford it. I feel so weary from the whole deal. Lymphedema therapy helps to detox my liver, but even the trips there are a burden and I am usually wiped out the next day.
