My mother has been diagnosed with lyme, babs and toxo. She is currently on daraprim for toxo and is having a severe herx.
My question is; how long did it take anyone to start feeling better after they were diagnosed with toxo? He levels were extremely high, so I also wondering how successful the treatment is?

I've taken Daraprim, along with zith or clindy, and folinic acid for toxo. It was the beginning of my lyme treatment, and I made some improvement. Definitely felt it in my head.
If your mom starts to feel the results or herx, just have her back off a dose. Start out slow with the loading dose, and take as tolerable. It was a good drug for me.
