My doc wants me to get Zhang, but I see no difference except the Zhang has a tiny bit of some other thing (I think it's called red root?). Anyway, the Zhang is $49 and Vitamin Shoppe's is $16 for higher mg and more pills.

He also wants me to ONLY use Boluoke Lumbrokinase, $75 for 60 500 mg pills. I found a different brand online, 30 pills, same mg for $23. So 60 is $46, cheaper than the Boluoke. But he asked me if what I bought online was the Boluoke and not some other brand, and I lied and said yes.

But is there really a difference? They have the exact same ingredients. I'm going freaking broke buying all this stuff and I want to save money wherever I can. I got those supplements from the Vitamin Shoppe, and I trust that they're not selling subpar herbs.

So is there a difference, or should I listen to my MD and spend a fortune for the brands he says to buy?

My LLMD recommended to me Allergy Research Group Artemesia which is less expensive than Zhang. He says it is good.

I have read that Zhangs artemisinin has artesunate which is much more powerful. That was in Dr. S' book but I don't know if it is true as I don't believe it is listed as an ingredient. If you want the most powerful form of artemisinin you want artesunate.

The other brand recommended is allergy research or nutrocology (I think they are the same) but they are just artemisinin.

I know what you mean about cost but it will get more costly later when you don't improve and the drugs you are on become more expensive.

Artemisinin is for malaria/babesia. If this does not work for you, the next option is Mepron which costs me over $50 a day (out of pocket)!

You need to take a LOT of herbs to be effective. Some doctors are giving 900mg a day of artemisnin (divided into three doses) . Just got to do what you got to do.

I just ordered artesunate under the brand name hepasunate. I hope it works better. I read that it reacts with iron so you want to avoid red meat.

If you take artemesinin alone, it is likely babesia will develop resistance to it so it is recommended to take with another antimalial drug.
