with Dr. S

It takes all day to get there flying (lay overs) and two nights at a hotel. Very expensive trip and all he gave me for the last six months was mepron and zithromax. He doesn't even "believe" in any supplements or detoxing.

Mepron/zithro was a no brainer that I could have told my GP to give me. I was hoping the LLMD would be more aggressive or at least give me an idea of where we were going; something I didn't already know. I am discouraged.

I have been on my own the whole way through this even though I have had two appointments with LLMDs and one with a LLND .
I think I am just one of those people that has to do this alone.

The babesia duncani is so hard to get rid of.

Nefferdun,
I've got an appointment with a Dr. here in Montana that specializes in Lyme this Friday. Contact me and let me know if you've heard of, or have had any experience with her.
Thanks

I have read that Duncani requires artemisia to get rid of it.

Six, I have been using artemisinin on my own. The LLMD thought my previous use with Bactrim DS made the babesia resistant to it.

Tomorrow I start Artesunate which is much stronger.

bb, I will pm you my experience with the LLND I saw in Montana.

My son is going to school in Seattle so I can look over there. I got some recommendations in the seeking a doctor. I think my GP will help me with prescriptions. I am thinking of pulsing Coartem and if I am still sick - in a couple of months switching to Malarone.

If you read the Bio Resources Conference link, Dr. H. states that Beyond Balance herbs - Bab-2 is better for Babesia WA-1.

You might want to try this one. The Beyond Balance formulas are really quite good. I'm doing it on my own and so is my daughter now. I think there are many of us out there that are.

NEfferdun, I too have had great results using the Beyond Balance products and my LLMD thinks they are the best formulated there are for lyme, as far as herbals go.

I will send you a pm.

Lulu, interested where you get the herbs? I may want to go independently of my LLMD and the company won't sell to doc's patients. Got any links or resources where I can order them online?

Thanks! CI

Don't get too caught up in everyone saying how resistant Babesia Duncani is. I've been paying the money to monitor it via Igenex. My titer went from IgM 1:160- 1:20 after 10 weeks of Mepron and Zith.

So after about 4 months it should be gone as I will reorder the FISH and titers again from Igenex.

Don't just attribute all of your symptoms that are not disappearing to Babesia. You said you saw improvement after 2 months.

I would order the FISH and IgM/IGG test to see where you are at.

You can order the Beyond Balance formulas from www.rhinebeckhealth.com

Just input Bab-1, Bar-1 into the search field. I don't know if they carry the Bab-2

That is a good idea ny. I just get nervous when I get a backslide - feel it has developed resistance and the floor is going to fall out beneath me.

Thank you for the link lulu. I think I ordered this before. Is it a homeopathic remedy with little numbered bottles?

There isn't much I have tried. . . but I am always open to something else. Looking for the magic bullet.

I'm not trying to stir anything up - I'm just wondering why these Beyond Balance tinctures are not available to the public. Does anyone know?

I was curious to see what was in them but the company website only makes that info available to doctors. I like to study them & compare...

I could say something sarcastic but I'm trying my best to keep quiet.

PS - I've heard mixed things about Dr. S. - if it's the Florida one... The one we aren't supposed to mention here.

I don't know if he's worth it.

Sort of surprised he doesn't recommend supplements. He's an investor in Vitacost.com from what I have read. I believe he also gets funding from drug companies to "study" drugs. I'm a bit skeptical.

Sparkle, the ingredients have been listed here for the three formulas. I have them for bab-1 and bar-1.

Bab-1
red clover, rue, wormwood, prickly lettuce, valerian, nettle leaf, and no alcohol base. It comes in a glycerine base and all of these products can be used together.

Bar-1
cat's claw, jamaican sarsaparilla, pau d' arco, burdock, blessed thistle, mullein, and oregon grape.

Each costs $40.00. for 1oz

When I spoke with Diane at Beyond Balance she told me they need to be tailored to the patient. She prefers some type of testing to be done prior to using the formulas just to ensure they are using the one that is right for them.

nefferdun, I don't think these are considered homeopathic remedies but rather energetically formulated herbals.

It doesn't sound like the same thing.
But I need the Bab-2 for duncani.

Sparkle, it was not ThAT Dr. S! It was Dr. S in CA.

Are you ever not skeptical Sparkle7? You must be the hardest person in the universe to convince. That seems to be the case with everything you read. lol. Just messing with you. As you can probably tell, I share that trait, but not as intense as you.
