I mentioned this in Lymetwister's thread, but thought I should keep it separate. It's very odd, but everytime I wear a hat (even loosely), I get major head pressure. When I take it off, it feels like my head kind of goes half-numb and the sensation is different.

How on Earth is this possible? It seems like my blood flow is constricted by that tiny pressure, but MRAs and MRIs were all fine.

I can't even wear a collered shirt due to sensitivity. None of this was an issue before I fell ill. It it brain swelling? I always think I'm going to have a brain aneurysm. [Frown]

yea I get that too, sometimes even my glasses bother me:-) it is certainely some kind of inflammation, if your MRA and MRIS were fine, this is a mystery... is there a way to check for nerve inflammation? which test could do that?...besides nerve inflammation does not mean nerve damage so maybe an MRI would not notice anything wrong...

same.
and the sensation that you are still wearing the hat..or if i have my reading glasses on the top of my head and then take them off, i still feel them too.sometimes my head feels like it weighs 80 pounds..

eyes go out of focus, test normal. feels like i'm walking on mattresses..blah, blah.

my scalp also goes numb and my brain feels like it shivers...pressure too..all bizarre and fun stuff!!

thoughts? we have bad infection, perhaps bad blood flow, and certainly inflammation and nerve disturbances...

No, I know that pressure well. I used to be in visors all summer long before this illness. Can't do it anymore.

I wear contacts for distance and readers for up close. Or I switch it up and wear glasses for driving and distance and have to take them off to read.

The pressure from my glasses isn't good. My ear frames are all bent out for the big head and barely sit on top of ears. They fall off all the time.

It is a horrible, horrible feeling. You hit it right on the head (no pun intended Feelfit). I always feel like the object is still on my head after being off. LMAO. I try SO SO hard to ignore it, but I can't. It scares me. I try to tell myself I haven't died yet and push through, but my mind won't accept it.

I'd be so ecstatic if those would disappear.

I am still convinced that the nerve inflammation starts in the gut and stomach.... I wonder what kind of gut bacteria can cause that....I have tried treating parasites, it did not work...so now I am left with the autoimmune theory...

I have head issues too. I am suspecting autoimmune too... The rest of my body used to get inflammed. Now that is mostly gone, just my head still has it.

Maybe time will heal. Has anyone's head issues gotten better over time?
