My ability to read extensively and enjoy reading (but especially enjoy anything involving quantitative processing) disappeared the minute my acute lyme onset happened in 01/10. It pretty much stayed that way until recently when I got glasses [Smile]

Turns out I have a huge astigmatism in one eye, which has caused some big time convergence problems. No saying whether lyme caused the whole thing, or whether it aggrevated an ongoing problem. Since getting glasses, my reading speed and comp and reading-related headaches (as well as lyme-related learning disorder) have become a lot more manageable. great news for a college student.

anyway, just a reminder to keep your eye prescription current because some of your neuro/cognitive symptoms might be eye-related (even if they are lyme-eye related,) in ways that aren't clear to you until you go to the eye doc.

I also have Lyme-related convergence issues. My vision is much worse when I'm fatigued or herxing.

Thanks for this reminder. I get an eye exam every year, and my prescription never changes.

I hope I get some resolution. I'm at the age when eyesight really starts to change!
