I am switching from malarone to mepron. I have been on malarone for 2 months (low dose-2 a day) with no problems.

I am suppose to double up to 2 malarone for 2 weeks, then switchover to mepron-does anyone actually feel good on it? I took it several years ago (soon after I got bit) and felt really horrible

Anyone else? Does anyone actually feel good on abx?

Thanks-makes me feel better-hopefully after being on malarone for a few months-the herx won't be so bad.

I've been on Mepron a long time, and it has gotten me better. It's a slow process, and you won't see results overnight.

Yes, I always felt great on Mepron (after the herxing) and relapsed off it.

Six-how did you finally get rid of babs-was it the bionic 880?

I herxed for a whole year on Mepron, but it got rid of all of my Babesia symptoms.

I've relapsed since then, but it only took about a month of Mepron to get the symptoms under control. I'm still on it. I plan to continue until all my Babs symptoms resolve, then continue with Babesia herbs.

Watch out for the Mepron Blues! If you feel bottomed out with depression, even suicidal, it can be the Mepron. There's a sticky at the top of Medical Questions.

Don't be afraid. It can be a life-changing treatment.
